The sketch book is so important, i always refer to mine as the book of experiments as they never resemble what actually appears on the canvas. I love your work and it's great to see an artist so open about their work on you tube.
so true, some sketches don't turn into anything, but it's so important to sketch all the time, even though most of the sketches won't turn into anything - but you can always learn something new from past work, you are such a good teacher!!
this is a realy good video. i make art vlogs as wail BUT i just started. i thougt that i was the only one that did art vlogs tho lol. im a dume ass for thinking that. mine is a mixs. it has ugly drawings a realy good drawings.
wow, wish i had skills like that, i mostly work with pottery and metal doing tools mostly but i try to make the occasional sculpture , but i thought it would be cool to do a timelapse of some of my vases taking shape and wondered what kind of software you use to do your timelapse vids?
Great vid and artwork style. You have some beautiful north light in your studio eh? I need to take a few days off to paint in the daylight like that. Looks fun.
It was custom made for me by Etsy user "candlemark" who does bookbinding. I don't think she has any books up right now, but you can definitely send her a PM on Etsy to see if she could make you one.
Great video! I love your style. I'm even more impressed that you uploaded this video on my birthday! That song is awesome too. Is the band an indie band?
oh i really adore your unique style......very compelling! Hey....how do you make the double images like that? I have pinnacle editing system........can i do it in that?
Fun video! Not sure if I'd be brave enough to show my sketchbook!
I once brought a brush back to life that I inheirited from my grandfather, that was dried upwith oil paint...I soaked it in linseed oil for about a week then used "the masters" brush cleaner and preserver (original b&j). Might be worth a try? Mighta been dumb luck but, I still use the brush!
Thanks for the tip! Right now I have them soaking in laundry detergent (believe it or not, it's what I use to clean my brushes.. works wonders and it's so much nicer smelling than solvents!) It's worked on some others that this happened to, but not for all of them. Your way may be worth a try.
Argh. I've tried to post a reply to this comment like three times and it just won't work. Hopefully this time it'll stick...
I love the binding on my sketchbook! It allows me to lay the book totally flat to draw across two pages, unlike traditional binding. This one doesn't expand but I'm planning to ask the woman who made this for me to make me an accordion style one once this is full. :)

Love your sketchbook and your sketches, thanks for sharing this! I have a couple of books too, but I don't draw very much more collage and such. :-)
