Oregon Coast Storm 2006

Lincoln City has to be the coldest part of the Coast - that I've been to anyway - I remember it being nearly 80 degrees out and walking on the beach with the wind HOWLING past my ears. By the time I got back to my hotel, my ears were red and frozen - and that was in the summer! I go to Florida from now on, less chance of frostbite :-)

Not that bad. The gulls are still out. Check out Shore Acres down the South Coast next winter when the waves BOOM against the cliffs.

The Oregon coast is at it's best durring a storm, i try to make it down there whenever there is a big one brewing. Depot bay, i've seen waves so big there that it sprays cars on the roadway right by it.

Biggest Oregon storm was in the 60's with peak winds of about 170 mph at one location. 100 mph is not uncommon every couple of years. Is that like Germany?
