Shouldn't you coordinate your turn better? To me it seems you are applying to much rudder to the right. But, I'm a rookie so I can be wrong.

The string's to the left, I needed more right rudder. At that time I'd done 10 hours, I've since done another 10. Hopefully with some improvement! :)

You are right - you needed right rudder. My bad :)

I've been told by many professional glider pilots that having a little bit of slip (as you did) in a thermal seems to work better. I just took their word for it because sometimes the thermals are strong enough that I get too lazy to fly right :D
