As a huge Thrash fan I can admit that Youthanasia blows The Black Album out of the water. Countdown to Extinction blows The Black album away as well. Every time I come back to Youthanasia I forget just how fucking heavy the album is and am blown away each time as I rediscover the album's heaviness.
The Black album may have sold more copies but Goddamnit CtE and Youthanasia were a Thrash band writing and performing straight up Heavy Metal right.

They don't only blow Megadeth out of the water with their earlier releases, they completely runs over Megadeth with their new albums aswell. Load and Reload just kicks Megadeth's Risk album so hard. Death Magnetic kicks THIRTEEN in the butt. Only The Black Album have sold nearly as many copies than Megadeth have sold in their entire career.
