  • This car will one day be mine

  • cool!

  • LOVE it!!!

  • I want an XTS-V !!

  • Wow

  • Beautiful! Good job GM! Cadillac hasen't looked this good since 1974-76!

  • Finally, Cadillac looks real good

  • Now thats a sexy beast!

  • Cadillac design is spectacular. Those who do not know the REAL truth should not comment!

  • Ford escort is a way more quality car than this garbage

  • @tumbao023 You can't buy class and your comment is an example of that! Go buy your FORD!

  • i love this car but if it had rounded edges it would look like a bentley

  • Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i want one!!!

  • I would really love the styling of this car if they lengthened the wheelbase a bit. It appears snub nosed with the little space between the front wheels and the door opening. That would make it a true luxury vehicle.

  • good bye Jaguar, when this car is coming on the market!

  • good by jaguar, when this is coming on the market! Just great.....

  • im not gonna lie, that looks fucking sweet, but like all american cars, this is gonna be bettered by the europeans

  • @17cusTom The American luxury cars have always been in a lower class than the European luxury cars. 2/3 the cost with double or triple the sales numbers. Now the Americans are moving up to join the Germans and Japanese

Several European car brands used to be sold in the US, but they all left cuz they couldnt compete: Citroen, Peugot, Lancia, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Opel, (Maserati left and came back). Jaguar, Volvo, Saab and Land Rover have all been struggling in the US for a long time now.

  • @sfsTrader the only reason theyre all struggling is cause the competition is so much cheaper. shitty quality, but cheaper. and i throughly believe that europe will better anything the americans make.

  • @17cusTom very, very few cars have "shitty quality". most europeans who come to america dont drive european cars. i guess u would be surprised to see people forgetting about what u love so much when given another choice.

  • @sfsTrader quality thats not as good as the alternative. that puts it better.

  • Thumbs up if you jizzed your pants while watching this!

  • WOW! Now Go Make IT!

  • I love the CTS-V, and now this car.

  • Oh yeah.

  • GM keep on doing it RIGHT!!!!!

  • How does that look like a malice crackhead not even close

  • Sexiest fucking car ever

  • looks alot like the new cts... thumbs up if you agree

  • I definitely plan to invest in THIS in 2012! Talk about showing up at your next family reunion in this lol

  • """""""LETS ALL HOPE THIS CAR DOES NOT BREAKDOWN AFTER 2,500 MILES AND IS PLAGUED WITH WIRING PROBLEMS LETS PRAY... IF ALL IS WELL THEN CADILLAC IS BACK ON THE "MAP"...THIS CAR IS "SUPERFLY" FOR REAL GIVE IT AT THE LOWEST 385 HORSEPOWER....THEN 650 HORSEPOWER IN THE "V" VERSION AND WE HAVE A SERIOUS "WINNER"...THIS WILL HIT THE EUROPEANS HARD LIKE A MACK TRUCK INTO A BRICK WALL..""""""""

  • @THESUPERBLACKMAN1 It's not a BMW so why would it break down after 2,000 miles?

  • come on!!...the Standard of the World again!!..

  • Looks like Cadillac's version of the Malibu.

  • @DarkstarStatus27 I know. They should lengthen the hood by 4 inches. It is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too snub for this kind of class of car.

  • @DarkstarStatus27 You just pulled that out of your ass. A Malibu is a midsize sedan, they look absolutely nothing alike. Change the record.

  • Thumbs up if you would buy an XTS-V series if it had 600+ horsepower

  • @UFCextra Hell yes!!!

  • @UFCextra If they make an XTS "V" , it better be faster in every way than the current fastest production sedan cts. I want to see the XTS hit 200mph+ easily and 3 second 0-60's every time. The interior needs more Buttons for the rear seats, more rear seating detail.

  • @AutoEnthusiasts, the interior is fine the biggest problem is a hybrid v6 engine and no v8 option and FWD. If they addressed those problems which will kill the car in its class and maybe shortened the back up just a little, then they have a bigtime winner.

  • cant wait til it's in production!!!

  • Hey everyone, I am trying to figure out what the song is in the new cadillac commercial. It is some sort of remix of Yacht - Psychic city. Can someone please help me!?!? It is not one of the phoenix commercials. This is a brand new one.

  • nice...cant wait!!

  • nice car

  • Perfection.

  • Was that guy drunk when he said it looked like an Altima Coupe? I drive an 07 Altima and this car is worlds away. The interior design with fully digital cluster gauge and HUD is magnificent. We have to get off yesteryear's philosophy that it needs to have a V8. If this thing makes what the new Taurus SHO is making with an available AWD platform then thats all we need.

  • Wow, this is what I like to see from Cadillac.

  • I love Name of cars "Cadillac" - This car is tha most fantastic car what i ever seen. One bad thing - i dont have never money for this...

  • I think I saw a FWD setup in those little x-ray shots. If that is the case...I will be saddened. :(

  • Yep, this car is based on GM's Epsilon II platform. It is essentially a stop-gap until they can afford to make a proper rear-drive full size sedan, which was the plan until they went bankrupt.

  • @DuoMax26 I am officially saddened.

  • Love this car!

BMW 7 series and Mercedes S class......... Scared yet?!

However its not so much of a threat yet to its German Competitors as this car only offers a hybrid engine. And although thats cool, car maker Mercedes-Benz already has a hybrid, a diesel (i think) and its notorious V8 engines. IF CADILLAC REALLY WANTS TO COMPETE WITH ITS GERMAN RIVALS (and Lexus) THEN BRING OUT THE V8!

  • In my point of view cadillacs always have had a distinct body as to any other car maker and always had a powerful v8. FWD or RWD..its cool with me. But I most certainly like to see a body with a long nose much like the concept Sixteen had. Although a concept I still believe the Cadillac Sixteen should've gone into exclusive limited production. It would put cadillac back into a desired collectors eye.

  • Somebody at Cadillac needs to get it together. The v6 is cool for the environment caring people, but they need to have at LEAST a v8 RWD model with 400HP Minimal and if that takes off make a XTS-V with 500+hp and keep the prices decent.

Now that would really put Cadillac back on the map and would have Mercs and Bmws Owners shaking as they already pay outrageous prices for their cars.

The car looks goods it just needs some guts.

No problem on the free Info CADILLAC!!

  • This is embodies what a fine automobile should be. Through ingenious workmanship, The people at GM have crafted an outstanding work of art through this magnificent Cadillac. All the best to GMC.

  • @NicheIDTV

That has yet to be seen as we don't know if the engineering matches up with the styling.

  • @NicheIDTV GMC is a brand , GM is the company so ya know.

  • The styling of this big new sedan is magnificent. The imports have NOTHING on this car when it comes to styling, however, it's a tragedy that the 6.2L V-8 is NOT gonna be the engine along with rear-wheel drive. My gosh...WTF? Instead of coming out with a "supercar" to knock the big import sedans into the weeds, they fucking water the car down with FWD and a V-6. This should have been RWD first with AWD built in to satisfy nervous consumers who drive thru the snow in winter.

  • The Mercedes S-Class now as a Hybrid with a V-6 power plant. All the top end luxury sedans will adopt a V-6 in to their line up to meet EPA milage requirements. The CAFE numbers simply have to improve and a Hybrid-V6 is an easy way to 6 to 12 MPG out of these bigger cars.

One can hope for a V8 in a V series for the XTS but hey man, that's what the CTS-V is for. The CTS-V is an assassin in sheeps clothing. The Escalade ESV is the KING of the SUV Road and the XTS will be a great BIG CAR!

  • You know. I've owned Gm's all my life. I have two Caddy's. One new, and one a few years old, and a Buick Enclave for the family. I like GM, especially Cadillac and recently Buick. But Cadillac I wish could break from GM. That way Cadillac can be free to do what they know in their heart is what can truly bring them back as Standard of the World. The XTS is absolutely amazing. It has the most amazing potential to attack the German rivals. GM better let it too!

  • C a d i l l a c

  • Front wheel drive on a "flagship" automobile is not gonna go up against the German titans and other full sized luxury cars. This car will only be considered a premium. I'd hope a v8 would be offered, but the E2 platform cannot accommodate a V8 engine..

  • premium? shit, this car put the european big cars to shame.

  • Front. Wheel. Drive. AND No v8. The interior, wont look like this. CONCEPT.

  • @joestuff8: This car is NOT FWD. I wish everyone would quit saying that. Also, you contridicted your self. You said this was a concept but yet you stated that it will have no V8. How do you know that? This XTS conept is only showcasing the hybrid technology that may or may not be available. Who knows what the actual engine options will be yet.

  • Epsilon 2 platform cannot accommodate a V8 engine. Thats what this car is being based on (just stretched). Thats the same platform as the Malibu & Buick La Cross. The E2 platform is engineered to accommodate front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive powertrains. The Sigma platform offers rear-drive, which is what the current STS has.

  • joestuff8: The production car will use a new "Stretched" or "Super" development of Epsilon, though this concept uses the LaCrosses structure and 111.7" wheebase. The production platform being developed will be capable of housing a V8. GM has a new V8 due out at about the time this car is ready. Also, it will be larger than the Buick. The wheelbase will be longer by 3-4" and be 1-2" wider. It will NOT a rebodied LaCrosse.

  • This cars sits on ONE of THREE versions of the Epsilon platform. This one being the largest. (hence the "stretched" out) The XTS is designed on the largest variation. The Regal uses the smallest version & the LaCrosse uses the in-between size. Regardless of size, the Epsilon platform is engineered to accommodate front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive powertrains. This platform is NOT able to hold a V8.

  • @joestuff: Didnt they say that with the "W-body platform of the late 2000's? They managed to shoehorn a V8 in the Monte Carlo SS, Impala SS, LaCrosse Super, and the Grand Prix GXP. Anything is possible when it comes to Engineering!

  • The Cadillac stylists could never get the rear-end right. The crappy front-drive STS from the '90s had a better one; I hate to say it, but it had an ass that was was more....well... European.

I don't know, but for some reason. a European ass seem to "work" a lot better than some other ones.

  • They'll make this car. At this point they have a vehicle that should have the other auto makers scrambling (Cadillac hasn't accomplished this in decades). All the lighting I could see staying except maybe the illuminated door sills and door handles.

This car has the beautiful and traditional Cadillac lines that the 08' CTS failed at bringing back.

    Stunning car!

  • This is comparable to the Audi A8 if not even better! Awesome vehicle hands down. What is GM waiting for? By the time this concept is in production, Audi will have a better looking car by then. GM needs to build this now! Mr. Whitacre, I hope you're listening....

  • this blows away all of the european big luxury cars. the interior. cluster gages blows away anything out there.

  • Except when you STEP ON THE GAS.

  • Amazing and beautiful .... looks like a piece of art. Can't wait.

  • best Cadillac !! If GM release this car just like this, i will definitely buy!!

  • i like this car.

  • nice. standard 350HP v6 AWD

what will the V be ?

  • Finally!!! They've done it. I hope this concept design makes production. Truly unique...truly American.

  • This video is so dope. Yall should make the first minute the commercial for it. It has the perfect amount of "swagger" which is the trademark of the Cadillac brand.

  • 2:14 should be the new cadillac emblem

  • the production vehicle better look like the concept vehicle or imma be hella pissed.

  • this car is so presidential

  • LOVE!!

  • what's the song in the used in the video?

  • I fucking love Cadillacs!!!!

  • Please no more FWD, i'd really like to see a Cadillac with RWD and V8, at least AWD.

  • Full size Sedan* Cadillac

  • @mktrep97 You can already get Cadillacs with rear wheel drive and V8 power. The CTS, XLR and current STS are all rear drive. This car has all wheel drive. I am still not a fan of the transversely mounted engine, not the best for weight distribution, but this is great for interior space. This Caddy seems to be about comfort, but with the AWD and powertrain it should be no slouch.

  • would make a great halocar

  • @Joe SchmoleMan: It IS Cadillac's halo car! Production begins at the very end of next year!

  • what happend to names like "eldorado" and "Deville"? now its all this XWZ LMS LOL QRS shit for namin cars

  • This is true Cadillac! inside and out and with the right proportions!! thank you GM for bringing us such wonderfull creations to a saddly generally blander and uglier world of (mostly Japanese and Korean) automobiles.

  • boooring.

  • @cadillacrazy: Whats so boring about it?

  • It looks like a Nissan Altima coupe with the caddy lights and grill stuck onto it. It's probably a smart move for sales, because the masses might buy it. but for innovative design? no.

  • @cadillacrazy: What looks like an Altima coupe!?!? Please tell me you are not talking about the XTS. (or any new Cadillac for that matter)

  • The side view - specifically the silhouette of the windows. this also applies to the new '10 SRX - looks like the Murano from the side. Cadillac needs to step it up.

  • doesn't look like a damn Murano.

  • @cadillacrazy: Im not sure I agree with you. The new SRX took a step back IMO, (in regards to it switching to a FWD platform) but in no way does it look like a Murano. The XTS doesnt look like an Altima either. CTS doesn even resemble a Nissan for that matter!

  • no, you just have some fucked eyesight. need a pair of innovative eyeglasses.

  • I know Cadillac, that's what the car will look like. I mean little differences. Like front lights, and side mirrors.

  • I smell a new DTS... I think a DTS-V would be a cool M5 fighter and E63 AMG destroyer

  • is this the new V12?

  • @untouchablewealth XTS is a concept car with no official engine line up or production date as of yet. When it does get built do expect: AWD with a transverse mounted V-6 or V-8 engine on a heavily refined and stretched version of GM's Epsilon II platform . V-12 won't fit Epsilon II. Cadillac's experimental V-12 was designed to fit RWD platforms, and was shelved in 2008 as GM didn't have money to build it.

  • pretty fuckin epic, lets hope this comes to the oshawa car plant!! Creat some more jobs in my home town!

  • Already confirmed for Oshawa.

  • Actually no it isn't, Show me GM's press release. There is not proof about it what so ever. No GM officials have said it is, and they also haven't denied it.

  • Ill confirm it now then ;-D

Jan 2, 2012 SOP, in Oshawa.

  • As i said show me a Press release, Are you some sort of GM official? Do you live in Michigan?

  • No, I dont work for GM or live in the US.

No, I can't show you a press release, because it hasn't been officially confirmed. Unless the plans change (which happends often), Im 99% certain this car will be made in Oshawa. I have many credible sources, such as suppliers that back this up. Even if plans change, and the XTS is built in Hamtramck, or elsewhere, the Impala replacement will be made in Oshawa.

  • Well the impala replacement is an obvious one. My father works in management in the car plant here in Oshawa. I work for a parts supplier for the car plant and nothing has come to light yet. But we are all obviously hoping for it.
