In a weird way- which many of you probably don't understand- am I happy that this song isn't in the world wide charts - because then everybody would hear and sing it all time and then after 2 weeks nobody would want to hear it anymore! And in the way it is now - I think it's perfect! :)
Whatever, I'm choosing to ignore the criticism and just say that I really enjoyed my first listen! Found it on the Warhol Museum site, looking for upcoming events and the artist looked interesting. I'm definitely going to see the show. ^_^
@TheDarwinman you don't have to be young to have a good taste in music. age doesn't matter. after all, its not like the "cool kids" are listening to this.
This guys music will almost certainly be the soundtrack to a film one day. I mean that in a good way. His music is really atmospheric and absorbing. I personally think it's brilliant!

There was a kid in a tree, Among the birds and the bees, Between bee hive and bird nest, And i think you know the rest, He wanted to be free with them, But they weren't believing, Pecking and stinging him, Till he wasn't breathing, But it ain't gonna do him in, He'll just go to heaven, Not done just a dreamer of ten or eleven.
don't litter my inbox with your worthless threats dengie dungheap75. we're on the fucking net so it's not like you can actually put your face where your mouth is.
who's dissing who buddy? Vile's hitmaker album holds a special place in my modest collection. I rocked out hard to it last fall. I clung it to it like a candle that burnt off my fucking arm, you dipshit. Doesn't mean I don't I have a fucking opinion on it. Not like I'm criticizing Jesus Christ on the fucking cross.
My highschool days were flooded with assholes pumping dance beats out of their trunks. So when I hear that metronomic thud through my subs it pisses me off cause the song rocks.
bought the cd and played it through some decent speakers fro the first time. I was surprised to hear a bass drum sound thumping through the whole song. The song is sweet but is there a version without that metronome bass beat? It takes away from the YEAAAHHHHHH!!!! factor.
(Besides the acoustic vrsn at the end of the album.)

it's just ok.......i don't think the hipsters will remember this music years from now because if a symphonic orchestra covered it the lack of substance would be laid bare: especially if the orchestra didn't look cool........on a positive note, it's good that music brings people together and brings them joy.
we should go to a restaurant that hipsters are fond of.......they serve big giant pancakes and heaping dishes of spaghetti, all smothered in butter........and they even play beethovans piano concertos on thursday nights, though those pompous europeans keep demanding rimsky korsakoff, bartok and stravinsky.
Great song.

@danielflynn6 The headstock is Firebird, but the body looks more like a Jazzmaster with a custom pickguard and pickup configuration.

I got a freeway in mind,
Let go of my head,
Walk down my line,
Better be sure you'll be dead,
I got a trumpet,
I know where to dump it,
I'm glad that you came,
If the sound is the same.

Sometimes my reckless ways,
Shock my self system for days,
Now i'm channelling my faze,
In an anacin haze,
But it aint gonna do me in,
I know when to dump it,
A hole in my way again,
I'll surely just jump it.

This band can't play like a symphony but neither can a symphony play like this band.
A symphony cover would lay bare what this band does not do but a rock and roll band cover of a symphony would lay bare what that symphony does not do.
Can you imagine a symphony covering a Dylan song. It's called MUZAK. But no one would say those songs lack anything.
Th Freeway album isn't the best thing I ever heard by far. But it's exciting because it sounds the emergence of a new voice.

KOL? he's playing w/ drum machine and his voice if anything sounds like Joey Ramone and Lou Reed or Iggy Pop with the Heartbreakers on guitar.
Caleb Followill sounds like Fogherty and whatshisname canuck from Steppenwolf.
