Cinema Paradiso is so memorable to me. I was 12 yrs old then and I was not allowed to watch beyond late night. It was Lent and everything shown in tv are religious programs and light inspirational movies. Even with my parent warnings, I still watched CP for the whole length until 3am. After that, I fell in love with movies.

I've seen the movie so many times that I've learned to discern the scenes with what's being spoken! I speak mainly English, but know some Spanish. This movie is a great way to learn Italian, esp. the cuss words, hee-hee. Ciao, bambino/a!
