Update! I finally figured the Pures out! I wasn't running enough air in them! Started playing around with 36-37 in the front an 41-42 in the rear an they feel good! The more harder an more air they have the better they seem to feel! And they grip an hold like some mean bitches! I put over 5k miles on them alone this year! And I still have exceptional tread left! I put these tires on in aug. 2010 an put only 1600 miles on them in 2010. So I have over 6k miles on these tires total!
I had put almost 5,000 miles on my power pures before i had crashed my bike and it still had alot of thread left. I had the 2ct and used those up around 4,500 miles. I will be getting new tires sometime next week and i will definitely be getting the power pures!
i had the pilot power 2ct and if anyone says it's not enough grip for the road, THEY ARE LYING. also the pures remain good for when it rains and you get caught out...the rear lasted about 4000 miles on my striple R
@rednoseroxy if it's my ass possibly slidin down the pavement, i'd fork over the cash. a crash is gonna cost more than $355 in repairs, so i'd say if youre gonna track the bike, dont skimp on rubber
A 2CT is all your gonna need on the street, weather your in the canyons or other wise.Anything above that and your wasting money! You cant ride harder enuff on the street to tell a difference. The track well thats a different story. And the 2CT's are dirt cheap now,so its a no brainer. I love mine.
own Michelin PURES and they are awesome.....Great 40% softer edge grip but have to watch your tire pressure like 2CTS as well. I think they are awesome tires..
The pure is not substantially lighter than the 2ct. In fact there is less than 1lb between a Pure vs. 2CT set. The claimed 2lb savings is over the competitions 120/190 sets.

Is the Power Pure center section harder than the 2ct? I want to know which is more durable.

what´s the average mileage of the pure compared to the power ??

in my opinion the Power Pures aren't as good as the pilot power 2cts. And I'm thinking about switching back. Kinda disappointed in the pures.

Which tire does have better traction on wet road conditions, power 2ct or power pure?
I currently have pilot power 2ct rear tire. I'm happy for its traction, probably the best tire I ever had when it comes to traction.
Bikeman1087 1 year ago
i'm not sure to understand what is the price you said for the power, 2CT, pure, and one.
But i've seen these today, from 89 to 140€ for a 180 tire
In France.

There's one thing I can't get straight with the Power 2 CT.
Is the middle of the 2CT identical to the standart Power and the sides softer or the sides are identical to the Power and the center is harder?

He did not mention the weight difference between the Pure and the 2CT. The pure is substatially lighter.

We know the 2cts last a long time. Can anyone comment on how the power pures hold up in tread life?
