I know that cameras come with a variety of lenses. Does it really matter what type of lenses you get?

Uh...have you unlocked the lens to zoom? What you're doing is bringing up a magnified view to assist in manual focusing. It's not actually zooming at all. The camera has nothing to do with zooming on these interchangeable lens cameras, it's all to do with the lenses. Once you've unlocked the lens by pressing the little button on the lens, then you twist the lens back and forth to zoom in and out.

I bought this camera and for the life of me I cannot zoom!! I maually zoom, then hit the magnifying glass and it shows me really close up and so I snap the pix but it zooms back out and saves it that way....so frustrated!!

@1967flygirl i'm using this cam as well and it works perfectly fine. i think you got into the 7x or 10x view for manual focusing which is not the zoom that you're looking for. check that you're actually using a zoom lens (14-42mm) and not the pancake lens (17mm). the 14-42mm works well enough.

Audio/video editing 101: if you HAVE to have music in the background, it must be _significantly_ quieter than the speech. If you think it's quiet enough, it's probably not. If you thing it's too quiet - tune it down a bit and then you have it!

I have a 5D Mark II and I adapt old Olympus lenses to it as it is. I often use live view to compose so I can make sure my focus is sharp. It was awkward at first but now I'm pretty good at it. Really looking to the subtle way this camera shoots. I can wait to get my hands on one!

i dont care i want a heavy bulky dslr at least like a 450d almost the same price bonus built in view finder and a built in flash also you get the shutter and mirror sound at least you know its taking pictures there an for all people want to buy the olympus pen think first see the review first

This is an amazing camera - I bought the kit shown here yesterday - and (thank God) it's something different from the standard, boring "cheap" D-SLR's. Solid build, great Art Filters, very fast AF and some stylish accessories. Wouldn't change it for ANYTHING. Thanks DigitalRev, great video!
