  • I remember anxious robby pushed Nihilatorfor all he was worth in the 1985 Meadowlands Pace elimination, and that Ramblin Storm didn't actually peak until 1990 or so running 1:51 miles. You have to laugh when you see 59 half and 1:29 three quarters in a field like this . It just shows youhow much everything has changed.

  • ramblin! my dads best horse! him and tk made my dads career

  • Praised Dignity was an amazing 2-year-old. Grinding down a field of this caliber while racing the final 3/4 on the outside is impressive at any age, but as a juvenile pacer -- WOW! He went on to earn over $1.1 million in 1984, then never raced again. Never heard why -- must have been a bad injury, though he had some success as a sire.

There was quite a crop of 2-year-olds in 1984 -- Nihilator, Dragon's Lair, Broadway Express, etc.

  • lots of problems going to the first quarter,,,,,rambling storm had an impressive career to say the least....bill popfinger still drives a bit and is quite a character
