Yoobao Leather Case for iPad 2 - The Review

I really like holding the metal iPad back, but anything can scratch it, it sucks, when I put the apple smart in the front I feel like the iPad can be easily broken

I think this case looks great! Thanks for the great review, if it weren't for you i would never have known anything about it. I just bought mine and it'll be here in 3-5 days. I just hope it's as good as it looks.

I got this case... Anyone who is wanting to buy it, just keep in mind that it does not protect for drops at all. Trust me -_-  it's good for scratches etc though...

@untitle83 It was hit or miss, some did that some didnt, mine didnt. They however have now released a revised version, I literally just uploaded a Re-review of the revised model. Check it out on my channel.

@Cabecetuza Yes, the craftsmanship is done extremely well. Yoobao does a fantastic job on there stitching =)

TIP: A lot of people are having issues with a strong smell coming from this case...while that is indeed true, mine seemed to have aired out perfectly fine. Tossed a dryer sheet in mine over night and let it air and theres no real smell anymore. Some are more sensitive to the smell I suppose...but it wasn't a big deal to me. Whenever I get a new leather case I tend to wipe them down anyway.. =)

@djtarique Ah, the power of personal preference. I personally think the otterbox case line defeats the purpose of a "tablet" computer. What was once a thin portable machine, is now a tank of plastic. I also tend to go into situations knowing I wont drop my iPad....but I could understand if you do field work or are prone to ahem, dropping expensive computer equipment, you'd need something like the Defender. More power to ya!

maybe tiny defects but other than that i think itll be fine

@djtarique if you're a builder sure you need otterbox but why on earth do you need such a case for everyday use?I think a folio will be enough.

does the lid have any magnets to keep it closed like the smart cover? If it doesn't, will a DIY mod can add a magnet to keep the lid close?

@dcw888 No - the lid does not have magnets to keep it magnetically shut like the Smart cover. A DIY mod is possible! :)
