  • The arcade version looks tougher than the SNES version

  • 2020, and they still use copters?

  • At 1:07 not as bad as frickin' roadkill rodneys

  • the snes version of the stage looked better

  • this is one of the best game songs ever.

  • WOW, i can't wait for 2020

I will fly on my board to the college =D

  • SNES version didn't have half as many enemies to this level.

  • @bearmedal Well according to Back to the Future, we'll have them in 3 1/2 years, when the Cubs win the World Series.

  • Another thing - is it me or does the Foot Clan remind you of the Putty Patrol from "Power Rangers"? They don't look much alike but they serve the same purpose and role on the show.

  • 200 MPH speed limit? Damn!

  • We're 9 years away (And counting down) from this time.

  • @arbucias93 Back to the Future II is just 4 years away. Where's the flying cars?!

  • Your skills are impressive, I'm surprised you never got pwned by Krang. that's awesome.

  • @GalaxiaShadow

And I'm surprised that Krang didn't use that attack where the android body vomits several bombs into the air and he backs off as they fall everywhere. I thought he done that in the arcade version and I've also played the SNES version.

  • nah dude its all about the snes version of the song

  • you can see the city from here on the arcade version, this is way better than super nintendo!!!

  • I always wondered how Krang went from being almost 30 stories tall in the intro and first level to being 15 feet at the most in this boss fight...I guess time travel shrinks metal. :p

  • I still cant believe they still have this game in one of the movie theraters in philly. I played the arcade version for the first time a few months ago. I think I like the snes version better. I really dont like the Reshell version. And thats from the arcade.

  • shederr must be rich he bought like all those foot soldiers hoverboards an the one's with pilot liscense a helicopter

  • What the....?

This is absolutely nothing like the SNES version.

  • where can i get this? do i need an emulator?

  • the way he says neon night riders is totally homosexual, but the music kicks ass

  • That's in 2020. 10 years from now. I wonder why we don't have buildings that look like that or highways in the sky.

  • spazzzh20 i agree whith you

  • Fighting Krang was so much better in this game than it was in the original.

  • This is the coolest level in the game.

  • I'd like to get these hoverboards into production soon, as well as lighting up entire cities with colorful lights

  • I would LOVE to have a wallpaper of the entire background of this stage at the size of 1680x1050. Oddly enough, one of the special stages in Sonic CD resembles the background of this stage.

  • ok in this stage arcade version kick snes ass the graphic when i see the holle and showme all the city i scream holly crap, and the music is the same but in arcade got a electric guitar cool sorry for my english

  • @Butters644 Graphics don't matter it's gameplay, and you should know. The snes version had a 3d version of this stage as a bonus level. A fine example of how better graphics don't make a better game.

  • How much I love it.

  • Is this how the year 2020 is gonna look like?

  • Science fiction was more imaginative in the 1980s and '90s than it is now. If you're like me, you probably had high hopes for future world like the one in Back to the Future Part 2.

  • @Loader2K1 Back then...let's say in the 1980's they would assume the year 2000 would be totally alien from their time..now in 2010...we push the year further like lets say 100 years from now..(What I mean is the gap in the imagination of the future is much more spacious then what pplz back then thought) Example Macross created in 1982,,,and the show was based in 2009..with the humans having advanced war vehicles..we are in 2010 and we have yet to have transformable planes..

  • @Platano214: Yeah, as I already said, science fiction was more imaginative in the 1980s and the 1990s. I still want to ride a hoverboard in the year 2015, damn it!

  • @Arz2003 Only if the scientists are studying this game level...and if this recession is over by then...10 years from now is possible we already have Times Square at 42street in New York city and Las vegas..those are our neon blueprints..

  • Was this game built around the same arcade board as Gradius 3?

  • This is the coolest stage in the game. And a lot better looking than the SNES one.

But the funny thing is Super Krang: he is a lot smaller in this super form than he was in the first game in his normal form. Theoretically he was supposed to be twice as big than in his normal form.

  • I personally think that the camera panning, pseudo-3D, behind the shell (excuse the bad pun) effect was better looking than the arcade version's standard beat em up upper angle perspective.

  • @laifalbert Yeah, i have to agree on that, it was a cool effect that behind the camera part, but the snes didn't had holes in a suspended high-way, lol, and that stage was made a bonus stage, you only got to fight Krang, the foot soldiers were just passing you by. :)

  • This version sounds even more badass than the snes, but the snes one looked cooler imo.

  • Thats got to take place in 21XX.

  • It's nice to meet another Mega Man X fan.

  • I noticed that this was one of those games that Konami had beefed up for the home port release. The home port release had more levels and added background animation. Unlike Sunset Riders which lost a lot of it's drive from the Arcade and was reduced to a water-down, half-ass version.

  • man the snes shyts all over the arcade version i just wished it was 4 players konami dropped the ball there

  • I remember the first few times I played this in the arcade, the moment when the roadway disappears is such a "WTF???" moment.

  • 2020 AD?

    There's still time, scientists...

  • LOL true, somebody should color half the buildings in NYC blue, the other half purple, have neon lights everywhere, and chop off parts of the freeways for no apparent reason

Those floating surfboard / glider things would be nice too

  • Reshelled has a longer stage, but Krang is MUCH easier. Still, good to see what I missed so long ago.

  • How do you get mame recorded well without laging.

  • Favorite stage. Favorite game music

  • "always GET TO THE CHOPPAS first"

  • I think the designer of this game were fans of Great Mazinger. Not only Krang has his wings, but when he is coming from the background he is exactly like him in the start of the outtro of Great Mazinger's series.

  • that was some great observing on your part

  • I love this arcade version of this stage and I love the music!!!

  • same here i play the game just to hear this song

  • Who kicks like that!?

  • I'm LOLing at Krang's tough monkey chest batting and yell! :P

  • Wasn't the year 2008 in the SNES version?

    Anyway, that's a ton of enemies o.O

  • No.

  • Yeah, I double-checked also. Can't imagine why I thought that in the first place...oh well.

  • I know The Transformers: the animated movie, took place in 2005.

    lol

  • Leonardo could kill Krang in a second, or Raphael

  • the stage theme in my opinion was better on the snes version.

  • True, but this version is good too.

  • was just thinking that...the arcade version isn't quite as electric. it does sound clearer though...the voices sound a lot better as well.

  • This level is hella awesome!! I like this better than the SNES version. But I like the music from the SNES version of the level is better.

  • Does anyone have the MP3 clean music of this boss theme? Its like a mix with the synth quality of the super nes with the raw guitar sounds of the genesis version

    I WANT IT

  • I have the TMNT arcade versions of most of the soundtrack ripped on my PC. You could send me a PM with an e-mail. That'd be the easiest way.

  • would you mind if i uploaded the song you gave me then and put your name in as a thanks?

  • Considering there are probably several rips of the game's stuff out there, not really.

  • @JamieBugajski

The boss battle theme from "Turtles In Time" is one of the busiest boss themes I've ever heard! LOL There's like 2 different things going on at once and the drums makes it even better.

  • @ChannelBelongs2Scott you know it! and watching this video again I never realized how much I loved the Neon Night Riders song as well.

  • @JamieBugajski

"Neon Night Riders" has always been my favorite level and theme. My first TMNT game was the original for NES (the frustrating one, not the original arcade port WITH Krang LOL) and thought this was much better. I thought it was cool how it was more like the first animated series and included pretty much all of the earlier villains - even more if you played other versions.

  • My favorite themes in this game: Alleycat blues, this one and Boss Fight....anyone can tell me where to find the soundtrack for the past TMNT (the arcade one)?

  • Get to da choppah!

  • And to think that at this time of year we would have a big ass future city like this and yet its still the same shit XD

    lol

  • I think they make the acrade versions more challenging so you can keep dunking in quaters.

  • obviously

  • he'd be fucked if the special moves took away energy like the tmnt arcade game on nes

  • I love how the year this level takes place in is just 11 years from now. Like we'll actually be technologically advanced enough to have hoverboards by that point.

  • hahaha. you know, ninetys imaginations,..

  • We were all living in metal eggshell domes, served by robots in the future according to the 50s.

  • alot can happen in 11 years

  • @bearmedal I totally have one already. Dude, where have YOU been?

  • @bearmedal

That'd be cool, but in my case, they'd have to magnetize me to my board; I have shitty balance.

  • @bearmedal i accidently thumbs downd u so ya my bad

  • @bearmedal we already do have hoverboards now, but they use gas and they're clumsy and bulky. We need those from Back to the Future Part 2. Can't wait, in 4 years we'll have hoverboards, self-drying clothes and self-buckling shoes!

  • @bearmedal

Just look at the Jeston's which came out in the 1960s, Hanna Barbera thinks house's would be 9000 feet in the sky. Guess that won't happen.

  • @HyperSonicXtreme I was watching that 70s show and Red Forman was picturing the future. Hes sitting there in some type of space suit telling kitty ok its time for me to goto work. He takes off in a Rocket pack year 1995 lol

  • Krang is all like "Turtle soup! Donkey Kong style!" *pounds chest and claps*

  • Its the arcade edition. this game is not available for ps2 or xbox

  • Is this Xbox or PlayStation 2 Version you are playing?

  • this is the arcade version. the Xbox and PS2 ports which are unlockables in TMNT: Mutant Nightmare, have some major alterations such as altered music and no score

  • lol i thought you were going to eat it, you got close. was waiting for the stupid instant death bomb to drop too.

  • Always favored the arcade method of death for the foot soldiers versus the SNES port version.

Elctrical implosion over meatball fire cloud!

  • In an ideal world, I'd have the 4 player support, graphical and sound capabilities of the arcade version, and the levels and bosses of the SNES port. That would truly make this game perfect.

  • ..but to top it all off, I would alter the scoring to something more akin to the TMNT III: The Manhattan Project for the NES/Famicom and make a long life gauge as opposed to the little slats and make life gauges for all of the enemies in the game, too. Oh, and to top it all off, the fight with Shredder at the end of the arcade game could have a slightly altered ending so that when you beat him, instead of him dying, he break out a can of mutagen and voila, you got yourself Super Shredder.

  • Damn dude, that was cool to watch. I'm a fan of the SNES version so watching the differences between the arcade version and the SNES port is cool. Arcade = WAAAAY more foot soliders, some robots ive never seen before and a Krang that takes forever to kill... Nice job whoopin' his ass btw.

  • What do you think of those ideas, BadGeometry?

  • eat that gorilla boy(krang)!!!!!gotta hate em!!!

  • I like the SNES version better because is reminds so much of F-Zero.

  • Mode 7 FTW. ^^

  • I'd stay in this timewarp! :)

  • Hehe... Same here. O_-

  • I dont see how this is any different from the arcade orginal. ive never played this game before but it doesnt look much different. is it easier than the one before it coz those boss battles were so freakin frustrating!

  • then search for the original, they're completely different games..

  • lmao completely different? slight exaggeration there.

  • what I meant is this is not a port or remake of that game.. all beat em ups are pretty similar at the core.

  • wow, the Arcade game of TMNT:TIT is much batter and more fun then the SNMS game

  • isn't it always

  • Why's that? ?:(

  • Some questions:

    1. You really think society will be like this in the next 12 years w/soaring highways, neon cities and hoverboards?

    2. Anyone know what that flashing is?

    3. Better use for 200 sign: # of Foot Soldiers or # of miles per hour you're going?

    4. Is it just me or did Konami really did not want you to advance w/so many damn opponents?

  • 4: they are more numerous than on console but they go down easy.

  • AD 2020 HAH!

great video! I never got through this level with Don. The creators really did not want you to go through this level either i think ;)

    gotta get more quarters

  • I think the reason for so many enemies is that this is the arcade version for 4 players, so they probably had to have enough baddies for 4 players to fight.

  • The long road seems to be straight and never ending... =)

  • It'd be nice if it did! A futuristic utopia just like in those cyberpunk movies I always watched.

  • What could the "200" number that appears mean? the speed limit of the skateboards perhaps?

  • i hated the shyt out this boss.....espeically on the genesis version

  • Of course, the thing that sucked about the SNES version was that it was only 2 players, instead of 4. Still, it was superior IMO

  • The SNES port was WAY BETTER!

  • No The Arcade Was a lot better Neon Nightriders Level is soo much cooler

  • Shyt the arcade version had a shitload of enemies at once ...which of course most arcade games,, get difficult as you progress in them. I miss the arcades..quarter Power

  • what's going on in the distance at 2:15?

  • That's the enemy Krang..the guy he fights in that stage... Thats how he shows up.. If thats what u asked...

  • this game rules the 80's were the best games in the world you idiot!!

  • this game is from 1991.

  • What could the "200" number that appears mean? the speed limit of the skateboards perhaps?

  • My favorite level!

  • the song in this level is fantastic! what's the name of this song?

  • Why would there be a name to this song?

  • the name is the same as the stage title:

    Neon Night Riders

  • The best thing about the arcade version of this level is this. There aren't those blasted electric mousers! I hate those guys so much.

  • I know what you mean! The Road Kill Rodneys are worse! :)

  • Neon Night Riders is much better in the Arcade. The layout mades it really seem like the future(riding on a hovercraft that can hover over mid air) while the SNES version had you ride a skateboardish hovercraft over an abandon road. Looks more like Vegas at night time then the future. Also the music is much better. This has to be the best beatemup level Konami has ever done (in the Arcade of course.)

  • I agree! The side scrolling version is much better and the music is tight in the arcade version. Also, the voices in this one are lively and more energetic. Just listen to the way they announce the stages in everyone.

  • I like those boxer robots with blue gloves.

  • How could I ever get the soundtrack?

  • Go to Galbadia Hotel. You'll find it there.

  • Ye gods, what's wrong with Krang's voice in this game?

  • yeah really what happened to his disgusting brain like voice?

  • What's wrong with EVERYONE'S voice in this game?

  • Amen, the announcer's voice sounds like a pansy, and the music? It's good, but the SNES version's is WAY better. My ears are definitely not playing tricks on me.

  • Neon Night-Riders is better on the SNES than the arcade.

  • Ditto... The Super Nintendo version is easier than the arcade version.

  • I meant that the SNES version is in Mode 7, not side-scrolling.
