I have had a 5 year old mac osx 3.9 and had no problems on it compared to the Dell FX series i am running vista on. mac really does come out more successful in reliability, i have not had one problem with the mac compared to about 2-3 problems with my PC. The true problem lies with Vista itself however. hopefully windows 7 will prove more reliable.

Macs don't support directx9 and require emulation for CS. Also CS is not intensive. Let me know when you can run Call of Duty 4 on that Mac or Crysis.

My sister and I both bought laptops after graduation of HS 2 years ago, I bought a Mac she bought a Dell. Sure, I paid a little more and people called me stupid for buying a Mac. It does infact have plenty of security holes, and recently the first widespread OSX trojan was said to have built a decent botnet already. have we heard a response from Apple? no. Also using Windows 7 via bootcamp I find that the same applications load every bit as fast as on OS X.
