"What nourish me was my imagination...that's where I escape". She has a way of with words....above all, she is so open, articulate and eloquent. She wasn't as cagey as she was in some of her later interviews with Barbara Walters. She's a thinker...you can tell from the way she speaks. Her spoken words are deeply thoughts and felt. How many performers today can you think of who can hold an interesting conversation like that?
@TopandTang Many other celebrities suffer from it. William Shatner, Keanu Reeves, Steve Martin, David Letterman, Sylvester Stallone, Sting, Bono, Larry King... the list goes on. Its an incredibly tormenting condition... you never, EVER hear silence. I have it myself. I wish there was a cure or a way to minimize it to a point where I'm not bothered by it. It can get pretty loud sometimes.
@kamilmytnik I appreciated you answering me. It's really maddening sometimes. I try not to think about it, because if I do it I cannot sleep and make it louder.
@TopandTang My Tinnitus started a month ago after a head cold. My sinuses are pretty intense, so I believe it to be due to blocked eustachian tubes in my ears. Having said that, Nasonex sinus decongestants worked great for me and my tinnitus is much quieter, but im still stuffy. I still need to see an ENT doc (ear, nose and throat) and have a close look. I would recommend doing the same. Try buying an air filter, it could help with breathing and will mask your tinnitus before sleep.
I really love Barbra Streisand and I love the feeling she explained her emotions and vibrations to Miss Walters.. I really love when she talked about her imagination.. She looks pretty much like a little girl with plenty of innocence becoming a great lady with so many many dreams come true.. I simply love her... Good for her..
Wow,1985! She doesn't look ll that different now,25 years later! I remember an answer she gave to a reporter when she was getting off a flight at Heathrow airport back in '62/3 to promote "Funny Girl" in the UK.He'd asked her,"Ms Streisand,is it true you're a Jew?" Her reply was,"No,I'm just travelling under an asumed nose"
Kooky, challenging, beautiful, gifted, witty, intelligent. All of these and an amazing talent!
She's just stunning here, so pure and soft and beautiful. This is a great interview, she seems very present and in the moment and authentic--thank you!:)

My favorite Barbra interview of all time. Yet, Barbra seems so vulnerable here, like a little girl, and I say this was all respect. I love her so.
