I was ready to hate this movie with every fibre of my being... (It's called Karate Kid but he practices Kung Fu? This is BLASPHEMY!)...but it's charming quality overshadows any ill-conceived criticism i'd invented before i'd even watched a scene, and it's this score that went a long way to making Karate Kid one of the more enjoyable films I watched last year.

Does anyone else notice how at 0:50 untill 1:13 Avatar, Titanic and Karate Kid all kind of melt together? With the bells from Avatar, the voices from the Titanic and the music from Karate Kid? James Horner is a genius! :)

When i hear this song, my mind wonders to honor and nobility. I love asian-based movies - such as THe Last Samurai - because they seem so much more centered on strength and promises than others. Beautiful. Their culture is so incredible.
