  • cool its like a raffika

  • Awesome. Can someone tell me the reason this would be restricted?! Excellent job, fellas. Not a broken down pistol, but a "SELECT-FIRE" dream gun!! Wootwoot!!!!!!

  • @alabaster77, It's restricted by Democrat Franklin D. Roosevelt's anti privately owned weapon administration and the first real "gun" law, National Firearms Act of 1934. All subsequent gun laws use this transportation bill as it's base. In 1968 things were made worse by the Gun Control Act and so-called "Sporting Purpose" language. In 1986, the dreadful Hughes amendment of the FOPA showed that the feds wanted zero automatics for the public. Google those.

  • @rob762x51 No, I understand the legal reasons, as far as the laws passed. I'm an FFL dealer, so I'm all too familiar with 'em whether I like it or not. I just don't understand the logic. How the government "Knows what's best" for us as individuals. It's a shame, really.

  • Gotcha. You never know who you're making a comment to. Thank you for keeping your FFL in these troubling times. I agree, at some point after Roosevelt's administration took over from a long line of Republicans from Teddy, Taft... Wilson as the oddball Dem on down to Harding, Coolidge and Hoover, FDR had a desire for big big federal government into everybody's business. After the crash of '29 the public appears to have lost everything - even common sense - approving his run.

  • @rob762x51 No problem at all. I'm a gunsmith also, so this is my livelihood. I have no intention at all of giving it up. I agree though, these days and times I encourage people to get their CCW also, even if they don't intend to carry. Just to let the nuts up on the hill that we are paying attention and intend on keeping our freedom! Funny you mention FDR. It seems nothing changes but the weather! I'm surprised how many people are approving of "You know who's" job performance!

  • Imagine full auto with the 50gi rounds

  • good luck controlling that thing without the stock

  • no i actually own 3 springfield armory 1911's in .45acp loadout. one ultra compact v 10 that was stolen a few months ago while i was away. 1 mil spec and 1 loaded model that was my dads when he was a LE he bought it in the early 80's i dont mind low cap cause most hi cap are double stack and i have shrek hands which have trouble wrappin around the grip per say beretta etc etc. most people like the hi cap 9's i just never went for that.

  • Comment removed

  • Very nice. and to everyone who says 7 rounds pointless theres a few things wrong with that claim. 1 they make 10 round wilson combat mags. 2 im sure you can covert a magwell in a machine shop to fit double stacks if you wanted. 3 7 or 8 or 10 rounds of ammo of 230 grain .45acp is a done deal any day of the week. id rather get hit with 15 9mm and have a chance than 7 .45acp and not have a snowballs chance in hell.

  • When browning invented the original for the army he had no freaking idea it would turn in to that freaking beast gun. I think what would've made it better though would have been a folding fore grip (like the beretta 93R) and a wire stock. Perhaps a three round burst for more controllable re-coil

  • cool, but highly unnecessary unless a fucking bear is charging me, in that case i'd want a harpoon gun or a .500 SW lol

  • ITS THE UMP'S BABY BRO!

  • suck it Glock

  • Sweet :) Transferrable, you say? How much?

  • @firevet1911, Transferable but not for sale. I heard it was traded for the price of a Ford Bronco.

  • song at the end?

  • fails at the end. proof that the 1911 is not made for firing in full auto

  • not to mention that filing down the sear is illegal and if ur caught its a felony

  • Too bad it only holds 7 + 1 rounds

  • thats the coolest 1911 ive ever seen

  • who ever made that is a very very very good gunsmith

  • @jtb3797 just like john dillinger's favourite gunsmith

  • I'd so like to see a double-stack full-auto 1911 now!

  • it like a mini tommy gun

  • As a tax paying, law abiding citizen there is no reason I shouldn't be able to own one of these. Screw you Senator Hughes...

  • omg that is sexy!!!

  • damn...the recoil on that .45 is crazy

  • that would be awsome on a sti or any double stack frame

  • You remind me a little of Gunny from Full Metal Jacket

  • you can kill a lot of minorities with that gun, old man.

  • @heartbreakhotel4665 what the fuck is wrong with you?

  • @njrobinson95 pro-tip: when asking what the fuck is wrong with someone, a more effective method is to simply ask "the fuck is wrong with you?".... drop the "what". it's cleaner. it's like joe rogan always says, white old men love to kill minorities. if you know what i mean.... SEX. ;)

  • Select fire on a double-stack 1911..now THAT would be something to behold! Great video..makes a class 3 seem worth it..almost

  • holy shit this is awesome... i got a chub

  • The Thompson fires .45 ACP too lol

  • This Boss is a Boss!

  • I'm a flea-bit peanut monkey, all my friends are junkies!

  • coolest old dude ever

  • wow thanks for sharing pops! i never seen a .45 1911 shoots automatic

  • The American Answer to the C96... Want. Too bad they had to close the registry to new FA items, that could fix the debt! lol

  • If we have had this on vietnam we could have win that war

  • @bnjnbvchjh

Eh... Not to be rude but I don't think your sidearm was the problem. I don't think this would have changed much.

This is quite the pistol though.

  • :)

    I want a grandpa like u!!!!!!!!!!!

  • full auto=nice

    full auto on a 7 mag clip=pointless

  • @peterbaelish3 THey make higher capacity magazines for M1911s...

  • It's almost like a western version of the Stechkin APS.

  • that would be a nice concealed carry weapon... =D

  • Its so weird to see a 1911 shoot that way.

  • what's the ending song?

  • Those will be best for arty crews, because no any fuckin' idiots would take the sissy carbine.

  • fascinating

  • @m4a1a1 I made one just lke that 'Repeal the Hughes Amendment', but I only have three followers.

  • OLD PEOPLE RULE!

  • OLD PEOPLE RULE!

  • There you go. Mini Thompson in your hands.

  • That gun has probably a huge kick ?

  • @Teufelsnachbar667

I have a PT1911 .45 My gun doesnt have a whole lot of kick to it compared to a lot of guns but I cant imagine a full auto 1911. The kick without a stock would be a lot. But in a close combat situation I guess it could be helpful.

  • Comment removed

  • Now That is fucking SEXY!!!!

    haha

  • How much is this gun worth? I've heard about 10 Beretta 92s being converted to full auto and they must be worth alot. But this!

  • Such a beautiful gun, the m1911s were truly ahead of there time.

  • holy shit...i never knew there was a full auto m1911

  • thats crunk

  • how can i make my springfield 1911 gi full auto ?

  • dat select fire switchhhhh

  • respect

  • that is the most awesome colt ive ever seen!

  • Ultimate CC 1911 lol.

  • @m4a1a1 whats the link?

  • the only thing i can think of is that the switch in the side turns the sear; which makes it full auto

  • I WANT ONE. How bout 2? This is the king of self defense.

  • kinda defeats the purpose doesn't it?

  • What was that, hammer follow or failure of the slide to lock back?

  • Neither, it was modified in 1986 to fire full auto and registered under the NFA as transferable sub-machine-gun. It is not tactical, it's just fun. Back when you could manufacture select fire weapons and just notify the Treasury boys.

  • Yes, I gather all that.

At the end of the clip, when the gun is empty, the hammer is down. A 1911 usually shouldn't do this.

However, with a full-auto trigger group, the disconnector re-engages once the slide returns fully to battery. This means the hammer will fall on an empty chamber if the slide doesn't lock back.

So, what I'm asking is, is that what happened there at the end? Just a failure of the slide to lock back?

  • Because my first thought was hammer follow, but then it occurred to me that that might be a "natural" result of the full-auto trigger group.

  • @rob762x51 I was referring to the fact that the gun finishes empty with a closed slide and a lowered hammer.

Thinking about it, I suppose "hammer follow" (although not in the strict sense) goes with the territory of a full-auto gun. That is to say, unless the slide locks back, the hammer will be fall after every lock cycle as long as the trigger is held.

Therefore, I guess the slide failed to lock back at the end there. That's what I was asking about.

  • There is a little more of this gun in the video "Big Sandy SAR promo Pt2" (watch?v=3NhluTb0Pzo) and I still have some demo footage to cut down for a future video.

  • Waste of ammunition on full automatic.

  • @matthewjdenn .45 acp is getting so retarded expensive now, I'm going to get a 22LR kit for Springfield

  • That's a good idea, but the kit will probably set you back a couple hundred dollars. If you're prepared to pay that, it's a good alternative.

  • 400-500 dollars actually, but I can do the machine work myself I do believe

  • To be honest with you, I'd rather see you buy another pistol in .22 LR caliber than convert your 1911A1 into .22 LR. It's just not an efficient use of your money. I'd rather have my .45 ACP 1911A1 and a Ruger than a .45 ACP 1911A1 with a .22 LR conversion slide that I have to pay $400-500 for.

  • how much is .45

  • for the cheapest and basic FMJ Winchester its about 500 dollars per a case of 1000 rounds. not including taxes and shipping. To put it in perspective the same 1000 round case of winchester was 250-325 a couple years ago!

  • @matthewjdenn Its only a waste of money on ammo if you didn't have fun using it or it didn't save your life.

  • I've seen pistols do this accidentally. Guys (or gals) would file the sears down to lighten or smooth the trigger and make it too light. However, these pistols will often only spit out about 3 or 4 rounds before jamming.

  • This is better on a STI racegun with a high cap!

  • thisd wicked!

  • Awesome!!! i love 1911! hey what song is that at the end???

  • OMG ..... that's fantastic

  • wow, no ear plugs. I can't do that with my 1911

  • That should be available in hardware stores and gun shops.

  • Ok, how freaking awsome is that!???

  • I wish.

  • someone had to do it

  • 1911s can be made to double or even full without a selector switch by wearing down the sear, I've see it happen

  • That doesn't sound like a good plan. It's like a slam fired SKS or a bump fire semi-auto AK. No good. Get the real deal or stick with semi.

  • A worn sear is very dangerous, it can cause the gun to discharge when you don't want it to.

  • I did not say it was a good idea.

  • @Tatsumi67 yeah u might have a round go off that isnt all the way into battery, so there for it wouldnt be fully seated or supported in the chamber, u see where im going, and besides making something full auto like that just makes a ''run away gun'' it will fire and keep firing until it jams, blows up, or u manage to get to tha magazine quick enough to stop it. but mainly u dont wanna be called lefty for something that wouldnt have happened if u had just left it alone.

  • @Tatsumi67 To add to that, if you file the sear you run the risk of dumping a mag just by dropping the slide! DO NOT FILE THE SEAR!

  • @mattxr2i

HEY ASS- it was MADE SELECT FIRE...the sear was not "filed down" you 13 year old idiot!

STOP just repeating what you hear in 6th grade, you fucking homo.

  • @43unclebbob First off reverse the number to 31 and that is my age. Second I probably have more experience with firearms than you can imagine. Third, quit with the youtube syndrome saying shit you know you wouldn't say to someone's face. And finally READ and UNDERSTAND my comment before making an ass of yourself. I was simply stating that filing the sear of a 1911 is a BAD idea because it makes the weapon unsafe!

  • Please, please, please upload some more videos of this gun!!

  • The pistol was sold in 2003. As far as I know it's still here in Arizona and I meet with the owner a few times out of the year. I will request he bring it back out for a new display video, perhaps field strip it, and a few more test fires. This video here was last minute, as we were packing up. Check back after the OCT Big Sandy shoot. I may have more then.

  • @rob762x51 Hey that would be great! I would love to see my pictures of the Stock that is being used with the pistol, been wanting to have a detachable stock for my springfield.

  • I have 1 of these in Yemen very easy to convert they only good with a 40rd drum magazine I reckon!

  • Dang, that recoil looks nasty.

  • We should had this in the army at war.. :-D

.45 caliber kills few shots than a 9mm does

  • well, we had this gun but not in automode. We did have some of the thompson, but that was not for everyone..

  • True a factory full auto 1911 was never made, but that doesn't mean it can't be converted.

  • Although full auto isn't practical, they all use the same mechanics and can be converted

  • Your an idiot. Nobody made a factory full auto but they were legally able to convert them and register them before the cut off date and that is exactly what took place. There are a few full auto 1911's out there but not many.

  • rofl this is coming from someone who plays runescape ur a fucking looser

  • you should buy a 1911 drum mag

  • lol

  • thats cool

  • That is definitely not stock. That seems to be a custom gun and (unless he has a class 3) it's illegal. To my knowledge there has never been a select fire 1911 ever produced.

  • You are correct. This was modified and registered during the last days before black Monday, 19 MAY 86. The gunsmith and others where busy making as many MAC10's as they could before the cut-off date and took some time to make this too. It was a last chance. We REALLY need to work to reverse the provision of the Firearm Owners Protection Act that prohibits the manufacture of selectfire arms for civilian sale. Let's bring M16s back to $700 each!

  • That would be awesome but it would suck for the people that paid $15,000

  • better get some high cap mags the standard 8 rounds will be gone in half a second!

  • The old man knows his music.

  • I like this guy ,id say he knows how to get the job done .

  • well its a much bigger bullet with more powder in it than a 9mm parabellum x.x

    nice gun though

  • all adders are puffs

  • that recoil is crazy on full auto

  • Man, that's wild.

  • Thanks for the comment! Well thought out and executed.

  • i thought his comment was annoyin but your response was firggin beautiful.

  • I'd like to convert my 1911 just like that. May i know how you do it? Do you have a manual in machining the fire selector?

  • This was a custom modification. You can not make this modification today without a C2, or perhaps a demo letter.

  • I'd like to have a demo letter sir.

  • Forgive me for being a stupid but is that a 9mm or a 45cal???

Im from England are gun laws are as tight as prawns arse

  • .45 ACP. Though you can get 1911's in just about every caliber under the sun nowadays.

  • .45ACP

  • what a freaking beast

  • He fires a couple of round in semi, first. This is select fire. Semi works as a normal 1911.

  • Upside = Lots of Firepower.....

Downside = You can't get 2 rounds within a foot of eachother

  • More accurately:

Downside = You can't get 2 rounds within a foot of each other, you have 7 shots in an automatic.

    Upside = ...

  • APS Stechkin's American cousin!

  • 1911 is easy as fuck to convert to full auto

  • can you elaborate?

  • even with a stock, the recoil looks pretty harsh.

  • yaa

  • Rob why don't you change the barrel, extractor, and Mag to shoot 10mm. be nice then!

  • Full power 10mm loads on a standard 1911 frame, or even this modified frame would beat it to death. The Colt Delta seemed to have problems. For 1911 style 10mm, I like the LAR Grizzly, otherwise you'd better stick with Glocks and HK's. I guess you could use the 1980's FBI load, but then why bother? Almost forgot the Bren Ten.

  • That's funny. Your remark really made me laugh. Thanks for the laugh. Sincerely, JAMES.

  • Where do you get those stocks?

  • Human contact can usually be found at large machine-gun shoots. Maybe you should attend a shoot, camp out and enjoy a campfire with discussions on modified 1911s.

  • Nice.

  • beautiful gun

  • There was a program during the second world war for a selective fire 1911, for usa as a PDW, and a few prototypes was built.

But if i remember corlectly the progam was canceld,

since that role was alredy filled by the M1 CARBINE.

  • A full auto 1911 is a great combat gun. if the battlefield is a phone booth. It would be great fun to shoot and good at extremely close quarters but besides that it's only good for intimidation and wasting ammo. Looks like great fun on the range though.

  • i dont know why but your comment made me laugh. i guess the image of full auto 1911s going off in a phone booth is pretty funny.

  • i have a modified colt 45 to it was made in like 3 years after world war2

the feeding ramp is polished to a mirror sheen

    the slides been rienforced

the interlock with the frame tighted for added precision

    sight system original

thumb safty exteneded to make it easier on the finger

long type trigger with non slip grooves

    ring hammer

base of the trigger guards been filed down for a higher grip its freakin amazing my grandpa handed it down to me he was a gun addic he had alot no stock thogh

  • Well, there you go... Who doesn't enjoy a nice, well balanced .45? Attach a stock and as far as the NFA is concerned, you've got a short barreled rifle (SBR). You need paperwork and a tax stamp for that.

  • Don't you see? a .45 is more deadly if it is coming from a handgun with a stock on it! But thankfully the tax stamp magically makes it safer. It's not terrorists we have to worry about, its legal gun owners!

  • Thank God it doesn't have that shoulder thing that goes up!

    /watch?v=ospNRk2uM3U

  • I like how i got a thumbs down, lol. That means I offended a jack-ass.

  • They probably didn't understand the sarcasm.

  • Too bad, we should be able to add stocks and chop barrels at will. I don't think the BATFE has the true spirit of the Constitution running through it's veins. The 2nd amendment has nothing to do with sports, it's all about the ability to kill people. When you restrict weapons, you reduce a groups ability to advance against foreign or domestic enemies.

  • yeah i know but my gun has great handling hard to believe its a 45 i dont know it feels still strong but it doesnt have strong recoil which makes it easier to hit a target 2 in one spot! :) yeah i know wat u mean by the the 2nd amendment:) but literally i think that a guns rnt bad its just the pple who use them wrong! but other than that guns r amazing XD its my hobby

  • ummmm no you played metal gear solid 3 snake eater sorry to burst your bubble my son was playing that the other day i knew it sounded to familiar

  • not really its from mgs3 that where i got the idea from but i customized it!

  • damn i was hoping to say that but you beat me too it good job and "bigballsmccock" your a very sad person

  • Beautiful!

  • Holy shit that has some kick to it.
