This is what hip-hop should sound like. In my opinion, Dalek's lyrics trump all the "underground" hip hop that's so popular with backpack hipsters these days (Nas, Immortal Technique, etc.). I also love that the music is original rather than sampled from someone else. It's very similar to industrial, I like it.

Immortal technique is a fantastic lyricist. What he lacks in flow he more than makes up for with well articulated concepts. Granted his DJs could do better but whatever. Dalek is the shit though. Well obviously the radio is supposed to play catchy music, and Dalek is too deep to be catchy. Doesn't make him better or worse, just different. This is music you have to sit through and listen to alone and absord, not something you watch in between Beyonce videos and listen to on the radio in your car on the way to work. It wasn't made for radio, but that doesn't mean that all mainstream rappers suck.
