how could someone get into the garage unless they steal the bike and have the ignition key? keep in mind there is a garage remote hidden in the bike and wired to this $30 module, also hidden. The module does not operation unless the bike it turned on or at least the bike's battery accessory is ON. you need to go to autoswitch web site to see/read for yourself:
@MrMashfield YA! Why the fuck does he even have a bike he should walk! Seriously you're just pointlessly trying to start shit. This isn't the fucking 1800s, we have technology and the intelligent people of this world have the right to use it.
No, nice try though. It is a built in garage door opener that is spliced with the high beam switch. So when the high beams are activated it also sends a pulse to the garage door opener set under your seat.
U my friend... are a moron. it doesnt use light to open the door, it uses a module set up to recieve 2 pulses within an allocated time then send out one, in this case, to a door opener.
Agreed, the English BMW 800s Garage Door Opener solution does appear to be superior. Not sure about costs and patents. They may not even be legal in the US of A. The bloke said he had two spare units which seemed incredibly generous. Having said that, the video is a bit old and he may not have them anymore.
haha at first i thought this was making fun of this vid: watch?v=1C-Bxifv2Pk&feature=player_embedded

ha nice anyone can get into his garage now
schmowzow64 3 months ago
@schmowzow64 It's not the headlight that activates the opener, the device pretty much just uses the headlight switch

OR you could all stop being such lazy cunts and get your fat arse off the bike and open the fucking door. #FirstWorldProblems.

And if you can't afford this: Duct tape your garage door opener to your bike!
TheOfficialKC 10 months ago
or you could just take the remote you already own, and splice it to ANY switch on your bike...

Nice thing out there but still we can even do that with a watch not that impressive.

great, so all someone would need to do to break into your garage and steal your precious bike or whatever else, is flash a light at it... neat !!! :)

Very good, workmanlike and convenient.
BUT, in the interests of International Business competition, have a look at what a Pommie has done with this concept.
Look up the following, - BMS 800S Garage Door Opener - a rather interesting lateral interpretation of this very good idea.
