I've got an old loadstar 345 or soemthing, I think its timing gears are broken or something, so I'm told, father in law's I haven't looked at it yet...
Thanks for making this video...I have a coolant leak from the rear of the engine on an '80 IHC S-series w/404 CID gas and need to do the same removal job on the transmission/clutch and bellhousing to get at the freeze plugs. Looks like there are new freeze plugs in your engine, where did you get them?
well this 345 is a fresh rebuild as of last year and those plugs came with the kit but they are also available from just about any good parts store... i have purchased plugs like this from Hedahls in Sidney
I dont blame ya for just starting on this but wanting to get it done just as quickly as u started it. shoot; I would probably feel the same way man LOL. And i hear ya on calling it quits for the nite too. Keep at it though man. :)
i would get to work on those floor panels when the carpet is up :P

Nothing will teach you the wrong way better then when you F*** it up yourself. LOL.
Been there, broke that, got the parts to prove it.

was it leaking bad enough that you had to replace the seal or just enough to wet the bottom of the engine?
fordbroncodave 2 years ago
took about 2 quarts to drive 25 miles to town so pretty bad lol
wagner59270 2 years ago
yep thats bad lol.
if i were you i'd go to the local dollar store and get some crazy glue and fix that sum bitch right up without wasting time putting a new seal in.
crazy glue is strong enough to hold that fatass up under a gerter connected to his construction helmet lol
