Gotta love the old IBM XT she's sitting at... You really had to have some money if you could afford one of those back then. They were $2500 which is about $6000 in today's cash.
I remember this commercial. Back in the 80s only the smart people knew how to use computers and there was no internet. That's probably a strange concept for those born after this commercial was made.
Oh my GOD! [Insert Six Mix-a-Lot "Baby Got Back" Valley Gal intor if you wish.] LOL I remember this: "You worked so hard, now have some fun, yum it up, with a new kinda bubble yum..":)
So the Greek girl chew the gum then get's suck into the computer monitor and then all of sudden she is a hot sexy girl. LOL.. That's funny. I don't think they can make a silly commerical like that work today.
If anybody is interested, my page is dedicated to great old things just like this. I have tons of videos in my favorites with only good old stuff like this, add me as a friend and spread the love of the 80s and 90s
I liked the Bubble Yum ads - they were based on "You Might Think" by The Cars, and the actresses were cute. The girl in this one kinda looks like Michelle Meyrink from Revenge of the Nerds.
That wacky fruit wasn't really wacky

MediaWatchDawg 1 year ago
@MediaWatchDawg Oh yeah that was great! I think they called it "Checkermint". That was the longest lasting flavor of any bubble gum I've ever had.
