  • the spider eggs rumour only made me want bubble yum more

  • A rip-off of The Cars music video "you might think"

  • Wacky Fruit flavor, I guess it's a better then Pullin-it Splash, or Yummy Cu....y gum.

  • RALPH MACCHIO! :D

  • I loved bubble yum as a kid, only got it at Royal Show time.

  • Gotta love the old IBM XT she's sitting at... You really had to have some money if you could afford one of those back then. They were $2500 which is about $6000 in today's cash.

  • I remember this commercial. Back in the 80s only the smart people knew how to use computers and there was no internet. That's probably a strange concept for those born after this commercial was made.

  • Nice commercial!

    Thanks for posting!

  • I wish they still made peppermint Bubble Yum.

  • @MediaWatchDawg Oh yeah that was great! I think they called it "Checkermint". That was the longest lasting flavor of any bubble gum I've ever had.

  • Oh my GOD! [Insert Six Mix-a-Lot "Baby Got Back" Valley Gal intor if you wish.] LOL I remember this: "You worked so hard, now have some fun, yum it up, with a new kinda bubble yum..":)

  • is that guy on the computer screen who i thinkk it is? ralph macchi? :)

  • So the Greek girl chew the gum then get's suck into the computer monitor and then all of sudden she is a hot sexy girl. LOL.. That's funny. I don't think they can make a silly commerical like that work today.

  • @WarshipAngelus I can't imagine it worked then.

  • Hey that boy kid kinda looks like Rick Ocasek from the Cars!

  • How many teen girls actually chewed Bubble Yum when on American Bandstand back in, say, 1984-85???

  • Wow, I remember this!

If anybody is interested, my page is dedicated to great old things just like this. I have tons of videos in my favorites with only good old stuff like this, add me as a friend and spread the love of the 80s and 90s

  • I liked the Bubble Yum ads - they were based on "You Might Think" by The Cars, and the actresses were cute. The girl in this one kinda looks like Michelle Meyrink from Revenge of the Nerds.

  • This commercial made me want to buy this gum as a child. Then I bought it and found out that it did not taste good.

  • Really? It doesnt look like him to me lol.

But hey, I wasnt even around in the 80s :p
