When The Olympics recorded this song, there was a glut of Westerns on TV. I wonder if anyone else is sort of expecting a novelty record similar to this, except complaining about all the alleged "reality" shows that are now clogging the TV dial. After all, there are entire channels devoted to reality shows, and even The History Channel and The Learning Channel show mostly reality shows. Encore Westerns has the right idea, but we need a basic cable channel that shows all Westerns, agreed?
@TheFantaC Nice job, FantaC! You even managed to include a clip from the very underrated comedy "Rustler's Rhapsody". I love the original version of this song, but in this you can more easily understand the lyrics. Thanks again for posting this!
Much better than most of the other ones on here. Comancheros, Blazing Saddles, and what is undeniably Eastwood's best film ever, Hang Em High. Thumbs up, but I'd like to see Hombre, Ride the High Country, Union Pacific, Shane, Fort Apache, Gunman's Walk, The Last Hunt, and The Bravados, the magnificent 8 of westerns
u sure the guy was young n the movie was always 1vs1 at a town coz i few year ago i see is nice but tat time i still kid so i no rmb the movie name sad
Oh, stop name calling. Imitation is the highest form of flattery. (And no one said Americans were the "first" cowboys, anyway. We simply needed a way to travel and herd cattle, and using horses was the best way. That is not what is called a copycat.)
I loved those old time movies that had the Indians chasing the Cowboys..There was always a scene where one of the Cowboys would shoot one shot and 6 Indians fell off their horses.
Amazing!!!!!!! A collection of clips from such a variety of westerns, including the B & w tv westerns of Warner bros. Thaks for showing what westerns were over the decades.
Fun video

Oh no! I love the Olympics' "Western movies" but alas this is not the original recording maybe it's not even the Olympics - it's so bland! Shame.

@pinchold Sorry to disappoint you. That is the Olympics. Wouldn't have worked without them.
