HOW TO FIX BLACKBERRY TRACKBALL (CURSOR) IN DEPTH VIEW

@NYCo0kieM0nsta are you talking about the small magnetic wheels? if so they should just lay in there, like kinda stick in, because they are magnetic. watch my other vid on my channel ( #1!!! Blackberry Trackball Fix) and you can see the shape of the base that the wheels sit in.

help... you know those four things on the side that you have to snap so you can take the trackball apart, well i cant unsnap the ones that are smaller. i unsnapped 2 but the other 2 i cant.

at o:26 of this vid, make sure that those little black squares are all in there! they are some how related to the magneitic wheels in the trackball assembly once it is in there. let me know.

Thanks for posting but do you've any idea why the cursor would constantly skip to the left while navigating or typing? This happens mostly while navigating the menu screen and makes it hard to select an app or messes up the typing of text or field placement.

@maxcoll650 @maxcoll650 Im not sure but most likely its dirty inside. when mine would get dirty I would scroll down with my thumb, but it would move (scroll) up,,,,? Just try to clean it out & see if the cleaning helps out! Let me know.

Hey thanks! I kind of fixed my trackball with all these steps. "Kind of" because when I scroll down, it goes to the left. Up, and it goes to the right. Left, and it goes up. And right, and it goes down. Hey, at least it works now.

@shinymystery make sure the ball is sitting inside the bowl first, then with the little magnetic wheels (stims) sitting on the wheel. I have never had that problem, something aint right. Just do it over and take your time!

I scroll the trackball, but don't click on anything, but it goes to that either way... it's as though it's really sensitive... but then at times, when i do click on something, it won't listen... i tried sending a message and i had to scroll down, but it kept on opening other people's name withought me clicking... i just got the phone yesterday...

GOOD SHIT MAN! I put mine back together after cleaning the lint that built up on the magnetic retainer things. Works perfect and even rolls better again. Back to new.

haha i took my trackball aprt trying to clean it and it all fell apart and got aal the black things mixed up. i tried to put it back all together and i when i scroll up the thing goes left ...i was laughing at my self but im fine i got a new one lesson learned. i dont know if they are all like that but mine was like that.

@firemajister There is a vid here on Youtube just type in search box blackberry that wont click or trackball that wont click also make sure that the ball is not laying on any of the magnetic wheels, the magnetic wheels pushes ball backup to make contact to metal of trackball assembly. so ball in first then magnetic wheels on top of ball, then plastic bottom

Most likely trackball assembly is full of junk and won't click and then the extreme problem could be the dome under trackball assembly on the board itself. dome might be crushed!

My dad also has a Curve which won't go right and tried cleaning it but when I put it back in, in wouldn't go right still but now it wont click either. We bought new ones but they haven't come in. It was only like 7$ for both. What I'm worried about is when they come in, will they still not click. I put them in exactly how it was before, so Idk what I'm doing wrong :(

My blackberry recently stopped working. I had it about a yr and a half, so I had to go back to my older Pearl. That one didnt have a trackball, and when it did it did not go up or right. so what i did was take my current BB's trackball and put it in the old one. Now i have a working phone, but the only thing it wont do is click, i have to use the Enter button.

did you ever take this trackball apart? if not then its the phone if you did then you might have a small piece of metal particle stuck on the magnetic wheel which wont let it turn. clean magnetic wheels with a q-tip. on the clicking you can buy the little square piece, at a phone repair store there is a vid on this by some one else I will find the name for you
