I can't help but laugh at the white guys big wings, like have you tested out the downforce? A veyron doesn't even need a wing that big and it gets what? 253 topspeed? Lol..
@ZEEUL8TR top speed does not require wings - think of any land speed car you can and how many have big wings? Race cars that go around corners - F1, LeMans, GT, Pikes Peak, Rally and Time Attack all have big wings cause you need to hold as much speed as you can through corners.
@turbillb Top speed requires wings in order to place downforce on the rearwheels to continue applying power on the road. When going at high speeds the wheels spin much faster and begin to lift. The wing counters this and pushes back.
The only time you require a wing is if your pushing 450+ whp, or drifting. Having not enough power and equipped with a big wing, can actually give you too much grip and slow you down before you can began to accelerate.
@ZEEUL8TR The Veyron has got a pretty useful diffuser. As for the usefulness of spoilers: "the only time you require a wing is if you're pushing 450+ hp or drifting"
Sorry, this is bullshit. You need the downforce for taking turns at high speeds even if you have only 250 hp (assuming suspension and tires are already at the limit) to get a better laptime. Spoilers will make you lose a little speed on the straights, but not so much that only 450+ hp cars should use them.
They have alot of coverage of jonathan weir. He was fast but i was hundredths of a second slower than him in the time attack... I havent been ableto get in touch with him hopefully he checks out this video , to congratulate him.. This is bryan btw with the white s2000
that is ehphin retarded, cobb fully funded race car, racing in the street class, i'm sure that car meets all street regs, but come on, really. I plan on racing street class RTA, and I have to go back to Iraq to get the funding for my build, does that sound fair. I think that there should be no huge corporate sponsorship in Street Class RTA.
i am assuming you are talking about the COBB STI? if so, who cares if its a fully funded race car? that doesnt mean they cant be beat...is it more challenging? of course but is that part of racing?
I'll try and give them a run for their money, it will take time, I have all angles covered except power. Give it a few years and hopefully I'll have a built motor.
@32jms well said.... its such a joke to have these massively funded, and fully backed cars in street class.... I mean if I could have multiple people all over my car for hours and hours each week, "refreshing" it, lol, I would have NO WORRIES... but as it is, worn out tires can poop my best efforts out, lol..
I don't mind it in Mod and SMod, but in street class??? ...its a bad joke.
@eeeen321 youre right. cobb tuning 500+hp STI with a cosworth longblock that costs more than what most peoples cars sticker at from the dealer in STREET class. thats ok though, there are a couple FF cars on the west coast that would tear him a new asshole.
@MetricHotrodsdotcom cosworth longblock, lol.... that is such a joke for Street Class.
hmmmmm an AP1 S2000 fully paid off, or a built Cosworth long block for my street class STI??? ....like ANYONE on the "Cobb umbrella" team has any tough financial decision to make, or parts they are saving up for.... Actually, it makes me LOL when I think about that.
hopefully the sti with the cosworth loses
