The graphics and the quantity of the videos that have gone up on this channel have been fabulously improved; just a small bit of that effort on the commentary would be very much appreciated now, please and thanks!
And as a last suggestion, please; don't just tell us someone's name on the line. Pause the video feed so we don't miss the action, then tell us who they are. Their names are on their jackets. We don't want to know that shooter #1 is Bhindra; we want to know that he was the first Indian to win a gold medal in the games, we want to know he made the cover of Sports Illustrated, we want to know he's had words with his home NGB of late, we want the story, not just the letters in his name.
And please; don't just list off long streams of numbers. If shooter A has 701.3 points and shooter B has 704.2 points, don't tell us that - tell us that Shooter B won by 2.9 points ahead, that B was only 4.8 points (only 0.7%!!!) off the maximum possible score, put some enthusiasm in your voice and remember that this is a result that those shooters have spent most of their adult lives training to achieve.
Please, report the meaning behind the scores, not just the numbers.
I get that it's a difficult job, but please, please, could the commentary on ISSF videos be improved? Contrast the commentary on the archerytv channel with that on the ISSF channel. Ours is flat and dull and overly scripted by comparison.
Please; don't talk over the audio from the competitions. That's why we watch these feeds - because we can't be there ourselves to hear it. When you talk over it, you show us what we want to see and then take it away with the same act. It's deeply fustrating.
Bill Krilling is my Grandfather. I'm proud to know him.
