  • The same happened to Rare Bird , the Arrows, Little Free Rock , Ace and so many other truly fine groups. London was awash with great musicians, we were all mates and lived on fish n chips.

The Marquee, Bag o Nails and Ronny Scottsending up at the Ship is about the extent of it for a long while. So glad to hear Phil and Andy are rockin on, apparently Pete's unwell. What a mad man but I defy anyone to not double over in laughter at his presence.

  • was a fast-eyed woman, loved to play the clown

you wont do nothin' about it,

break a good boy's resistance down

know she's got a pistol, laid it down on me

    and she said...

one of the coolest riffs ever, classic Schenk solo, typical Mogg phrasing...what more could one want?

  • Shoot Shoot?? Why hasn't everyone on the Earth ever heard this song? Please tell me why I have to hear crap year after year on the airwaves, and these songs go unnoticed? Phenomenon and Force It will bang forever. Some genius from the 22nd century will hear this and equate it to Mozart...because UFO never got their due in my lifetime. They'll hear Whitney Houston and Huey Lewis and say "What the hell is this shit? " This is what America listened to?" Sinful.

    I LOVE LOVING UFO.

    Thanks Axe,

    JWL

  • I agree with you,I stop listening to the radio long long time ago,if I listen to the radio I get pissed off & cursed the DJ's,so I mellow out by listening to the Greats from the past!

  • right on!!!

  • @jwlloyd1 Could not agree with you more. UFO are one of the most under rated under exposed Rock bands of all time. The Strangers In The Night Album deserves to be up there with the likes of Thin Lizzy's Live And Dangerous. Like yourself, I never tire of hearing the many different versions of this that are about. Will never forget hearing that immortal introduction: 'Hello Sacramento would you please welcome from England.....U F O'. Rock on.

  • @Pariah186 wasn't it "Hello Chicago would you please welcome from England UFO"

thnx for watching & comment ,I appreciated!

    cheers!

  • @AXEFLYERFV Hey brother, you had me thinking, but unless my poor ears are suffering years of being on the receiving end of listening to too much metal it definitely sounds like Sacramento. On the vinyl version they go straight into Natural Thing after the intro but on the CD version they start with Hot 'n' Ready. Wondering if US versions have been edited with different intro's. My Vinyl is tucked away safely in the attic, so will have to dig it out and check. Cheers for getting in touch buddy.

  • @Pariah186 you're welcome man,the opening intro is Hello Chicago would you please welcome from England UFO on both the vinyl & new Extended Version CD with a different song followed!!

type this on the search box to refresh your memory:

UFO - Strangers in the Night - Natural thing

    Peace brother!!

  • @Pariah186 Definitely, Strangers in the Night is one of the greatest live albums ever made in the history of Rock and roll....right alongside Live and Dangerous by Thin Lizzy!

  • @jwlloyd1 I agree with you. UFO has gone nearly unnoticed and why? Saw them several times and followed them throughout their career. Great band with few equals.

  • Michael still suit UFO best.

    UFO in Michael not is

  • This song 'rocks' so well even in 1998 by the re-united UFO!! What a great performance! Thanks very much for sharing. This is great!
