I saw Tonya at a Chiller Con a number of years ago and yes, she had put on A LOT of weight. I did a double take and it didn't set in until I saw the autographed skates she was selling. She was very polite to people which was fine, but yeah...I was taken aback with surprise. She's let herself go in the years since the scandal, but what difference does it make when they won't let her skate anymore, really.

If this was a private home video it might have made re-evalute my belief the Tonya is a sociopath, but any behavior she knows is public isn't going to be revealing.

The APA estimates that as much of 3% of U.S. population are sociopaths. That's such a high number that even if it's too high it still suggests that a lot of people we believe are charming, sweet and caring are really monsters. Think O.J. Simpson, Bernie Madoff, Medical Student turned Craig's list would be serial klller...

What's really ironic is the popular conception of a sociopath as an anti-social loner. But the reality is that  scoiopaths are adept at winning people's trust. It's actually imposible to ever truly know if someone is a sociopath or not. But what one looks for is subtle signs of social manipulation. And putting this video in context I don't see anything here that would change my mind that Tonya is in fact a sociopath. My point is this is what they look like folks. And that's how they can win...
