@vinyl4me2 atacama se24's dont have these speakers or stands anymore my brother now has most of this stuff ive moved to older equipment with a bit more craftsmanship
@SMERGHEED wtf? dac and sound card the same thing? I think NOT. As to playing music from a computer, if you're playing flacs, it can sound *half* decent actually, although the computer is not my preference for audiophile systems. Nothing wrong with glass and metal stands either, if properly setup. Crikey...
@w2o2 it was that song. But thanks to COPYRIGHT it was removed as usual so i might aswel just not bother uploading videos to be honest. The song i will have to check on no idea what it is
@SMERGHEED it was an experiment hence i posted this vid. i have a different setup now. 2 old NAD 2200 power amps monoblocked and a set of B&W DM580 floorstanders running from a proper Yamaha pre amp C85 and a Yamaha DSP-E800 with digital hookup to pc soundcard with lossless audio files on pc. The results are staggering. Going to stick some vids up soon. Racks dont make a huge difference, cables do and mains supply.
nice setup dude i have also B&W 601 s3 but i think that 602 should be better ,i want change my manrantz amp. to cambridge audio ..one question could you pls tell me what is the song from your viedeo...
Nice setup!! Ive always been curious as to how B&Ws would sound with my rotel amps. That truly is a nice look amp from the late 80s. Pioneer was really a good name back in the day!!!
one that i choose from youtube as the other one was removed and it was a fab song too. Cant ren what it is but its in the audioswap feature under the edit video tab. Worth a look. Ive changed my setup since vid was done so done a little upgrading so must upload videos when i get them off my cam
well i mainly use the amp and ipod and listen to cd's couple of times a week. Ive changed some of the components slightly from when this vid was done. The components i agree are out dated but the amp is incredible never heard anything quite like it. Its a very underrated piece of equipment.
Amp is Pioneer A91-Digital a hybrid sort of amp, cd is NAD 5200 early 80's machine, i now have 3 Dual CS 505 mark 1 deck', speakers in video are B&W DM 602 mark 2's but ive changed them for an old pair of DM 580's floorstanders as they sound a little better and more natural. The other components in vid are Sony CDP XE 20ES cd deck, Denon CS-610 horizontal loading tape machine and NAD C420 tuner. To be honest not the best audio in the world but makes me happy haha have fun
wow nice settup :D im saving for the 803S speakers :P and probably going to sett up an sorund system when i gett the mony for it ^^ or the same as you.. the speakers youve got is wery nice im smaler rooms ^^
why waste your time sending nasty comments about some1's hard earned efforts and quite frankly very nice sounding equipment. You prob lie to me and say you have a great system when you have probably some shitty out of the box aiwa or something cheap and nasty. Get a life and stop sending people bad remarks when you know you are jealous and wrong. thank you
thanks very much. Really appreciate that. This to me is an honest setup, i havnt borrowed or anything to pay for 1 piece of it just payed through hard work this is why its so satisfying to listen to its agreeably not to everyone's tastes on components or music but ive started collecting more hifi gear old school stuff from early 70's early 80's and hope to put together more impressive sound again need more powerful bowers though
um think your missing point here its been recorded through camera and played back through your cardboard speakers your end plus some of the pieces of audio equipment here are rare in the audio world and are absolutely heaven to listen to especially the amp. So dont judge a book by its cover you shallow minded asshole
might find they make some of the best speakers on the planet you might find, they even have speakers in a gallery of modern art and they cost over £35.000 and mine use the same technology
yes it was an addition to the audio family there not really an expensive or really good 1 but it does have proper connections on the rear of it so i can plug in good interconnects rather than headphone style output rubbish. Saving up for krell dock or similar but might look silly as this is budget gear and krell is high end stuff so i dont know to be honest. Cheers for comment though
Your welcome. The source is always the most important part of a hifi system, so decide on the ipod dock based on how it sounds and if possible try to have it auditioned in your own place as well as the place you buy it from. Also, do you use lossless encoding with your ipod?
im afraid i haven't to be honest i like choice hence i have over 14,000 songs on my pod but i if they make a massive pod then maybe i could. I have auditioned the new Naim music centre (cant rem model) which has huge storage and nice easy menu's with connections to monitor and computer network etc. which might be answer, but burning my entire collection again (noo its to painful to think about it) but there we are. Thanks again for advice though you are quite right
Seeing as ya didn't mention anything about bit rate or quality of ipod encoding choices in your original reply then I think you can rest easy in your bed at night, knowing that no lies were forthcoming and no harm done. And your welcome.
what brand are the speaker stands? thanks!

80% of world top studio's use bowers and wilkins speaker's, so that says alot about this company.
