Backmasking is playing a song backwards. Sometimes when played in reverse it sounds like you hear other words which weren't intended to be recorded. Some bands purposely put in backwards messages, but most of the time its just a coincidence.

@grungegopher Actually it is a message by the spirit or the thought or mind that gave you the idea for the song in the first place. Johnny even with all of his drug problems still kept Jesus first in his thoughts. It came out in this song. He was talking about his soon to be wife as well as God. If a group or singer puts it in on purpose you will know by the way the song sounds. This you would never know unless you played it backwards. But we still hear it we just think we do.

Thern you take the first piece of tape and turn it over and connect it to the other piece of tape. When you hold it up to the light you see the first part of the message but it is backward but the rest is forward. Then you have to turn the tape over to see the message that was backward but the rest of the message is now backward.

As you write a song you say what you feel on the outward but then your inner feeling come out sometimes in the backward messages. It is hard to explain but I hope you know what I am getting at.
