  • Well done mate

  • wow you actually had the balls to film this in a public area where someone could walk in on you or hear you. way to go.

  • Great video...That's right you have to fight it day by day...I think that ultimatly it is cureable and u just get used to certain anxious situations that you forget about it...perhaps even completly cured...U just can't focus on yourself so much and though it's easier said then done it's doable! Life is awesome, everyones got some kind of problem, so just do the best! Peace and good luck even though ur doing great! :P

  • It really amazes me how you can make yourself face things that scare you. I can't. I'd be really proud of myself if I were you!

  • Great face. Enjoy it and get out there and meet people. :-)

  • im so glad u managed to fight it,ppl dont really understand this kind of trouble, what it means to go throu this stuff, its just horror-but as u said not taking NO for an answer.

    awsome vid,respect

  • Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

I experience the same thing, not social anxiety, have OCD and Generalised Anxiety disorder.

Its hard for anyone to know what its truly like to find the things certain people take for granted everyday a huge mission.

Im always scared and fearful, every minute of the day im worrying and I never feel safe.

  • sup bro. i just subbed. this vid was funny. i actuallly just applied a kmart. and went to the art institute for a while too, down in miami though. what r u doing, audio engineering?

  • Nah I'm doing video production, trying to just stay as around film as possible.

  • AWESOME!...

  • great to see you doing well, and focusing on the successes. i had to figure out the subway when i was in NYC, and it is not mean feat! awesome you are in art school, they are lucky to have you!

and i agree with your comment about wondering what other people would be like if they had to cope with our symptoms - i used to think i was really weak too, but now i realise i had to be strong to put up with fear ALL the time like that.

new hair cut really suits you, sir!

  • i noticed after recording though i had a little fuzz that did NOT wanna stay down, lol

  • Very happy for you. I wish my early years I had resources like this and knew more people like me. Thanks

  • I remember before I figured out what was going on with me I thought everyone felt this way, and I was just ultra sensitive or something. Boy was I wrong, had a panic attack on the subway today actually, and wondered kind of bitterly how everyone else on the car with me would fare if they shared my symptoms for a minute. >_>

  • wow Man I am film productions too

  • I originally wanted to get into acting, but it seems finding a Job would be easier behind the camera. But who knows where I'll end up, I don't gotta clue :-D

  • I think you can be an actor. You have the looks for it, and also from the other videos I watched I think you've got talent. What I don't understand though is how you managed to take an acting class and enjoy it. I was walking my friend to her acting class and she suggested I take the class with her and just thinking about it and looking at the people in that class made me anxious and I had to walk away from it just to be able to relax. I guess everybody's SA is different.

  • It's all mind games I think. I mean I hate spotlight being put on me when I'm not prepared for it. But in acting you know it's coming, and you control it.

Also, a panic attack could help in some situations, if you need to appear nervous or vulnerable, you just tune into that but kind of keep it on a short leash, y'know?

But the acting class as a whole was very therapeutic and enjoyable for me, next to martial arts i think it's the best thing for someone with anxiety to check into.

  • I'm taking acting for non majors in the spring because of you. I'm looking forward to it, which is a miracle in itself. I hope it goes well.

  • I'm really glad your taking up an acting class =D

I hope you love it as much as I did. I still remember the first day feeling nervous, but then thinking hey, this is exactly how everyone else feels to, and then being able to giggle.

  • i think that is very sensible, and very creative too. plus you can act later when you get your hair sorted out!

  • pretty cool :) when it came to my drivers license, I took forever to get it as well lol I got it when I was 20 because my boyfriend (husband now) pushed me to get it. now more freedom for you :)

  • yeah it took me some time as well, getting it just after turning 20, but it is a-lot of freedom and it really destroyed a-lot of my fantasies of my inability to function. I could never see myself being 'the driver' in my group of friends, and now I am. :-)

  • Wow! That's so awesome that you got your driver's license AND enrolled in school. Way to go, dude!!

What kind of classes are you taking and what do you want to accomplish at school?

  • I'm majoring in Video Production and right now im keeping it simple and just hoping to land a job as a camera operator. Right now im taking Intro to video, intro to audio, english 1, and computer applications.
