  • Happy 110th birthday Fred

  • Did that glass break at 2:34?

  • this is so funny : Miss Joan Crawford goes to the Oktoberfest with Mr. Fred Astaire...

a hillarious piece of film history...get yourself a sweet FRÄULEIN !!!

  • I think it is amusing that they say this is 'featuring Joan Crawford'. She was number 3 at the box off at the time.

  • Yes. It suggests Joan was not the star of Dancing Lady. Dancing Lady is, in fact, a Joan Crawford picture. She is the title character. The movie revolves around her, and her relationship to Gallagher, played by Gable.

  • @tallcrguy Maybe #3 at the box office at the time, but she still was starring in this picture, and introduced Fred Astaire to movies! So much for #3! :)

  • @8angst8 I am not sure what you are complaining about. I merely pointed out that this clip was originally described by the poster as 'featuring' Joan Crawford as if Fred Astaire was the star. I was pointing out that Joan Crawford was the star of the picture and a HUGE movie star. Being number 3 at the box office was a huge honor then and now, so your comments are misdirected.

  • Love the way he sings "Everybody...!"

  • Lol. Fred Astaire in lederhosen. :P

  • Thanks for putting this up. I've always wanted to see Fred's debut scenes.
