Awesome video Andrew! I've kind of wondered, is there any particular reason why the Southwest Chief stops in Mendota, but the California Zephyr does not?
This goes back to when the Zephyr was the only Amtrak train on the route east Galesburg besides the Illinois Zephyr. The Zephyr used to and still does stop at Princeton, but after the Chief got on the route, Amtrak decided that the Zephyr didn't need to stop since it stopped at Princeton already so the Chief got it's own station to stop, really so...yea kinda messed up but that's it.
the Mendota water tower in the back has a tornado siren on it. the water tower is being knocked down. they dont use that particular siren. I CALL IT!

What's old? 160 can't be on 5 & 6 nowadays?

I mean that is a pretty old Zephyr lash-up. I got 160 leading 6 over Donner on Feb 14th, meaning it has done that route for a full month by now.
