Well God wants you to go work. but things that you cannot control you ask. seek and knock to receive. There is always action of faith involved. you just don't ask alone. OR you can do no entertainment fast or media fast for weeks. just dedicate that time to God reading Bible and give yourself to serious praying. pray with spoken words and know Holy Spirit is there so ask for His presence and you will see difference.

after watching this video yesterday i prayed for the gift of tongues. and only hours after while i was praying and praising God i received this gift! it was only a few sentences though but i felt the Holy spirit very strongly and i didn't know what i was saying but i felt such warmth and joy. it was truly an amazing experience. i didn't fast although i did eat very little yesterday but i didn't think of it as fasting. this video really encouraged me to pray for this gift. thank you.

@CloudWatcherX yeah once you received it God's not going to take it back. but what you have to do is pray so that you can pray freely whenever you want.
Just go back into praying and you will be able to pray in that again. Also God will give you more once you're faithful at using the gift.

... yesterday I went to church and everbody prayed for the presence of God, but I couldn't feel it. Everybody is filled with joy: they dance and they sing with a big smile on their face, but I am filled with sadness and I cried. (no one saw it.) I feel doomed, I feel that that God wants me to go to hell and that he hates me.
Sometimes, I feel that Jesus asks me to wash the dishes and to clean the rooms... It's very weird and scary...

I think it's post-trib but i'm not that wise on the book of revelations. also i received the gift of tongues but i would like to receive the gift of interpretation of tongues becuz i would love to be able to pray in tongues whenever and in front of others and baptize others. i've already baptized two friends and helped them receive the gift of tongues so how can i receive it
