she hits the piano keys a bit too hard, needs to ease into the keys more on the sustained notes. Clarity is indeed excellent on the faster parts, but the main melody waltz notes are a bit hard to listen to with the choppiness from hitting the notes.

i checked on the scale thing and it said this was a grade 7. but then again grade 7 might just mean u get all the notes right and have no real feeling when playing this.

this is the best I've heard on youtube, in my opinion. Others out there are playing it either way to fast, or are dragging it, and thus loosing the essence of the piece. She reads the ornaments well ^^

I think that basically she just over-interpreted it. It made it sound too much like a whole new piece and not just the way that it was written. Expression is wonderful but don't change the whole meaning of the peace.

mad skills but I think it was a bit fast and then she changed her tempo a bit too much. It just didn't sound right. It's a matter of interpretation but to my personal ears it just didn't seem like the best way to play the piece. She is still an amazing pianist. That's easy to see.

I love to see gorgeous songs played by gorgeous women. chopin is my favorite because he has pieces for every mood and he captures the moment perfectly. true genius but i would love to hear how chopin intended these pieces to be played. not saying it was bad but i dont think chopin would have played it that way. could be wrong cause it was pure beauty and maybe that is all he intended it to be.

@bestfriendsforeva I agree that she maintained stunning clarity but with rubato I'm not so sure. The piece is meant to be 'Giusto' which means it has to be strict in tempo. It's only a personal opinion but I think it could've been so much better without or with very careful rubato.
