  • Long ram or Short ram intake?

  • this guys sounds like jack black rofl

  • Glad my mom gave me her 2001 Honda accord v6 for christmas<3

  • Jizz. In. My. Pants.

    Vtec forever!

  • have a 2002 just hit the gas more before 3000 rpm cuz then the transmission wont shift just past it like what it did to u itll give u the solid vtec sound ;P

  • its sounds like..... bwwaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Had the same car and same annoying issue with shifting. Now I have a sentra ser spec v. I'm not going back to auto trans for a while lol

  • Vtec JUST KICKED IN YO:3

  • why do americans avoid manual so much?

  • @xXBIakeJuiceXx

bc we are lazy, but I didnt follow the norm, I just bought a MT Fit ;)

  • @xoquixxoqafxo ahh fair enough. that sounds sick ;)

  • Buy manual. :)

  • @09204418448

I just did, go check out my channel!

  • its sounds amazing!

  • My old lady has one of these the auto totally sucks but it still moves pretty good

  • I have this exact same car. It's freakin awesomeee!

  • What intake did you install in that? Car sounds mean!

  • @N0GoodUsernamsLeft

its literally just a generic cheap 40 dollar intake from ebay, no brand name lol but thanks!

  • Buy a freaking manual!!! Why put all this work into a car and not be able to shift.

  • @kadenkindred

What work? the intake cost 20 bucks and took me 10 mins to put in... and this Accord doesnt come in a manual with the V6... Plus as much as I love driving stick, i have a 20 miles commute to work in traffic, you can sit in that in a stick but not me.

  • Lol well @ both of y'all I'm just gonna get that model for my first car since it's awesome

  • I have an intake on my 99' Accord V6 and when it hits VTEC, the change in engine noise is ridiculous. It's awesome. hahaha

  • Haha well even better for me :) that's gonna be my first car

  • @RobLocJr

haha ill sell it to you if you want! lol

  • Lol o ok! Will it sound the same on an 2001 Acura TL?

  • @RobLocJr

it'll probably sound better from the extra displacement in the TL ;)

  • What kind of intake is in this car?

  • @RobLocJr

its not even a brand name, just some generic SRI I bought off ebay for cheap lol

  • odometer LED is gone. I thought I was the only one :)

my 2002 V6 EX-L, same color same interior, and same crappy transmission. But when I drive it, it is so smooth and juicy that I forget about the transmission.

do you get a slight nudge when the gear shifts?

  • @towhidskynet

haha yup, the odometer has been like that since 2008 and has gotten worst ever since :( How many miles are on yours? I was driving around my sisters 2002 Acura TL and I can't believe how much quicker it feels. I really do hate the 4AT in this car. It always leaves the engine feeling breathless with the AC on. My tranny only nudges when shifting from 1st to 2nd, every other shift is liquid smooth thankfully. I just can't wait to get a VW GTI or Focus ST next year lol

  • @xoquixxoqafxo

mine is 109k. . the tranny gives a slight nudge when i am shifiting with v-tech engaged. but other than that it is cool. try this. when you are driving normally, try keeping the gas paddle steady steel between 2k-3k rpm and it will always shift seamlessly

  • @xoquixxoqafxo i have the same car but it's all stock, what filter and muffler do you have? brrrrrrrrRRRAAAAAPPP! <3 VTEC

  • @leprechaun8892

haha actually its got the stock exhaust on it and its the original mufflers too. The intake isn't even a brand name, its just an aftermarket unit i got on ebay for like 40 bucks but it makes a pretty decent sound for not being a brand name :)

  • you odometer is pooched! :p (P.s you can change your kick down on your transition)

  • @CVRealMan

yeah its been doing that for years... prolly since 2008. Its annoying but it still comes back after a few mins of driving. Funny thing is, the instrument panel on this Accord is sourced from Ford LOL

  • @xoquixxoqafxo which ford?

  • @yellowcow13

not a particular model, its just a part sourced from Ford I guess?

  • @xoquixxoqafxo odd, Ive never seen i guage looking anything like that from Ford.

  • Love the sound of the 3L v6 vtec engine... How is the tranny?

  • @The0neand0nlyD

thanks! Reliability wise, tranny is perfect. Performance wise, its meh, wish i could swap it out for the 5AT in the 7th gen Accords lol

  • Best of luck with the new ST, it's definitely a stunner no doubt.

  • @carsaregood911

Thanks! Now I'm just waiting for Ford to tell us the price LOL

  • yeah i want to buy an intake for my car also it has VVT and you can hear it kick in at 4500 RPM just like your honda but i bet an intake will give my impala a deeper more agressive sound seeing that most GM v6s have a natural deep growl to them

  • A ricer is not a tuner brotha

  • Love the sound of those V6 VTEC's! I was actually looking for a used Accord to get into when my Mercury Sable's transmission died, but no such luck for the price range we were going for... I ended up with a 2001 Nissan Sentra.

  • @2000mercurysable

lol thanks! You are better off with a compact car like the Sentra now tho. This V6 sounds great and is smooth as silk but the gas mileage is awful (18 city and 26 highway). Especially now with gas at $3.64 a gallon, it makes me wish I had my new Focus now lol

  • @xoquixxoqafxo Yeah, if there's one thing I love about my car it's the awesome gas mileage (26 city, 33 highway), but if there's one thing i HATE it's the 11 second 0-60 time. Ugh.. lol

  • @2000mercurysable

DAMN. 11 secs? That sucks dude haha Compacts 10 years ago were awful lol. Its amazing how far most models have come today. They can hit 60 in under 9 secs with their 6 speed autos and get 40 mpg on the highway.

  • @xoquixxoqafxo Lol yeah they're so much better now! The Sentra is reliable though so I can't complain. I dont need a "nice" car yet. I'm only 18.

  • @2000mercurysable lol I'll keep buying them, probably one of the most reliable of the compacts

  • @xoquixxoqafxo I have a 2004 Sentra and it went around 9 sec stock, dropped in a K&N and it goes 8.5 sec and I get 28 city/35 hwy, not bad for a 7 year old car with 103k miles

  • @2004NissanSentra How do you manage to get 9 seconds?! Yours isn't stick, right?

  • @2000mercurysable it's auto and I timed it, 9.2 stock maybe they changed something in 2004 but they're still the same body style

  • @2004NissanSentra Wow.. well maybe there is something wrong with my car then. I don't believe they changed anything from 2001 to 2004, yet my car still goes from 0-60 in about 11 seconds!

  • @2000mercurysable I live in CA so the emissions might have something to do with it, they have a swirl valve in the intake that's supposed to suck more air in and the gas has more complete combustion. Nothing should be wrong with your car tho, it could be just the emission setup

  • "it sounds like a muscle car..kind of" I think what you're trying to say is that it sounds like a nice tuner :)

  • @doug2bitemore

Well, I think it sounds a hell of a lot better than those stupid ricer civics with the fart cans lol My car can easily smoke them too. I can even keep up with stock 06 and up Si's ;)

  • @xoquixxoqafxo AWESOME SOUND!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice video btw!

  • if you're worried about getting into trouble with a Honda Accord....a Focus ST would really test your ability to be able to keep you driver's license hahaha

  • @mercmilan06

Its funny bc my first car was a SLOW as 96 Camry 4 cylinder. (Reliable but soo boring) and when my sister bought it in 07, I got my first speeding ticket in 08 than another one again this year... -_- The problem is this car is soo smooth and quiet that at 80 mph it feels like 60 mph and at 60 you feel like you arent even moving lol

  • The LED burnout on your odometer is common on the accord.

  • @Fred924

yeah the funny thing is, everytime i take it to the honda dealers, some of the idiot service advisers dont know how to get the odometer to come back lol

  • Love sonic haha. Holy crap that car sounds omg words cant describe. And its damn fast it seems. Moves quite nicely. Damn, makes me want to put an intake on my moms odyssey ;) I would still buy one with the tranny probs. I would miss the growl of a V6 hehe

  • @gardmans1

lol well I have a feeling you are a GM fan so I'll try my best not to offend you, I've driven several at work, they are OK. Nothing special for me at least. I'd first take an F-150 than a Ram, followed by the Chevy. They were a nice redesign back when Chevy first introduced them but other competitors have caught up thats all.

  • Nice lol

  • @gardmans1

HAHAHA I'm def not spanish tho lol

  • Awesome Sound!
