  • I shall never declare more than one spirit, by giving a response 'And with your spirit'. Never shall I. It would hurt Jesus. One body, one Spirit in Him. Amen

  • Wow!

I thought Fry and Hitchens made the most compelling argument but I already agreed with them. I didn't expect they would sway so many.:)

  • If you watch the whole thing Hitch and Fry absolutely and mercilessly obliterate them. And rightly so.

  • Everyone should watch this debate in its entirety.

The catholic church gets its ass WHOOPED by Hitchens + Fry. It's fucking beautiful.

  • @O8SERVER fags like hich and fry are doomed, save they repent.

  • @HouseHaunter484 So...you're in denial then?

  • I just watched it tonight, it was a total humiliation for the people for the Catholic Church, it was awesome.

  • BBC WORLD NEWS IS NOT AVAILABLE IN NEW YORK, the most international city on earth! I just got off the phone with Time Warner, which pretty much has a monopoly in this city, and they don't have this channel at all. Is BBC's distribution sales team on crack? How is this even possible?

  • You can watch a live stream on line. Just google BBC World News, and outside of the U.K. :( you are good to go.

  • "How is this even possible?"

    By censorship and constraints.

  • Watched the airing of this earlier today, after weeks of anticipation, and it was even more brilliant than I imagined. Westminster Methodist Hall must still be being repaired after the smouldering rubble left in their wake.

  • What channel is it on (as in channel number)? Thanks!

  • I watched it on BBC World News; found a live restreamer. But never fear, it is now up on here :-)

    watch?v=PvZz_pxZ2lw

  • any ideas where i can get this in the UK? it seems only to be shown on bbc world news... :(

  • is bbc world news a tv channel or an online channel?

  • its a Tv channel only available outside UK, they cant broadcast it here because it has advertising not covered by the public tv license fees. they do have a radio version avialable on iplayer. its not great. besides its up now :) :) :) go fritchens!!!

  • lol

  • ravings like yours make me SO proud to be an atheist!

  • This is all very well, but it seems this won't be accessible from the UK online - and it's not going to be broadcast either. So, illegal downloading will be the only way to go... Very annoying if you're a licence-payer!!

  • I pray to Zeus that someone puts that online.

  • rotflmfao!

  • Zeus has answered your prayers. It is now online. (Personally I was praying to Aphrodite, I wonder which one carried the day....)

  • Actually that's such an Athena thing to do! Or Xochiquetzal. God knows.

  • You fucking tease...

  • I think you should go and read some of your own history.

  • God won't forgive the West. He finds it hard to exist let alone forgive.

I was at this debate and Fry and Hitchens proved to be unbeatable.

  • Much as I liked Hitchens' and Fry's last debate, "The Blasphemy Debate", I was disappointed by Fry's recent response to the Jain Moir article. Come on, freedom of speech is surely as important, if not more so, as someone's hurt feelings. And the way Moir's article was taken down off the web so hastily, not giving people the chance to read it and make up their own minds, was even worse!

  • I want to go to this but couldn't afford it. I bet the Archbishop and Widdecombe got trounced!

  • (respectfully) I would not take that bet at odds of ten million to one!

    The Hitchenator ROCKS!

  • I think that was his point. And they did get trounced (Widdecombe and Archbishop).

  • They did. I was there.

  • Yeah, don't get your hopes up about this debate. I thought it was going to be epic as well but Christopher only gets to speak once for any length of time.. and the Archbishop is very poor.

  • read about this debate and have been anticipating someone posting it

  • when will this come out, cant fucking wait

    does anybody now

  • BBC World on nov 7/8th.

  • Cool! I can't wait to see this.

  • Well, The Hitch & Stephen won that one easily. You can't really argue that the catholic church is a force for good.

  • It is almost like arguing for the motion that:

"Deep fried fatty food served with ground glass and poison is a force for health in the world."
