  • Pt4 Educated and honest And strong enough to withstand And like Barack would be like “Yes we can” So amazed and excited I said “Here I am So to the truest Most fluid of souls The one who made me feel like I could let go It’s like youuuuuuu ouuuu Get me….. you get me It’s like youuuuuuu ouuuu Get me….. you get me
  • @Blakew28 Youre fucking great man that was awesome like no bullshit bro that was all good

  • @Blakew28 ya thats pretty dope

  • Pt. 3 Now um… We’ve spent a while together But only recently did I think smiles forever Next you was even possible Thought I was incapable of making it Through all your many obstacles Making up for others who broke your heart Plus you expected so much Right from the very start You said you wanted a man With a five year plan
  • Pt2 Though the weather is cold Girl our love is warm Like a bee to your honey girl Forever I’ll swarm To your pure inspiration I toast To girl the girl knows my secrets But what I love most is It’s like youuuuuuu ouuuu Get me….. you get me It’s like youuuuuuu ouuuu Get me….. you get me
  • I just felt inspired……. Pt. 1 It’s like youuuuuuu ouuuu Get me….. get me It’s like youuuuuuu ouuuu Get me….. get me I’m hard headed And at times I can be stubborn But through it all You stuck with me like sun burn But with some aloe and love We made it work But I can’t even front Girl at times, it really hurt Like when we were tryna figure each other out I’m sure we both probably had our doubts

    A lot doesn't

  • Q=Luv is just smooth, nothing else 2 be said.

  • Best homework-doing music ever.

  • @sfeirsphere or shopping for pears

  • I thought that this sounds a lot like the beat behind Kanye West's "I Wonder"

  • beautiful.

  • 1 person, and counting, liked this song so much they turned there computer up side down and liked it again.

  • does any body know whos playing bass and piano in this?

  • is there an album i can download of all questloves stuff. this is dope

  • @jcksnmcivor Im wondering the exact same thing.

  • Isaac Hayes will be missed RIP Brother

  • it isn't that he doesn't have chops, it's that he's messin with the tempo slowing it down and then bringing it back up. Slowmotion. It sounds loose, but he's on beat and consistent, therefore I don't think it's a matter of whether he's "tight" but whether or not you can hear the creativity and patience he puts into this song. Maybe he wanted to play so there was more emphasis on the melody and have the drums compliment it lazily., which if that's true I think it worked great.

  • this is so amazing! hope it really isnt about someone dying :(

  • @HalfNakedMusicians i believe its about isaac hayes one of the ? influences smh

  • @GhettoChildTaZ ah yeah i researched it turns out it is! thanks man

  • Who the fuck disliked this?

  • hahahaha if you say he has no chops you say it sounds good. jealous bastards have no sould, thats why theres all this shit talk but secretly only 1 person dislikes

  • Not very tight at all, the boy is stoned. But I agree with Mattspaiser, he has no chops.

  • what an amazing person! hes got it all! even the snare hitting on 2 and 4 is perfection!!!!!!!!

  • Great song, great picture.

  • Amen

  • yeah music for the soul

  • It took time for me to grow on Roots but Questlove always caught my attention if it wasnt that it was always the Peace, Love, and Sooooooouuuuulllll Frrroooooo! lol Great music!

  • After listening to this song for the first time, I no longer see ?uestlove just as a drummer. I see him as a musician.

  • where can I buy this track?

  • Man.....this track is good for the soul.

  • THIS GROOVE IS TIGHTTTTT

  • Questlove is a master of the drums, not because of his chops but because of his soul. Any drummer can play this beat, but only Questlove has mastered it. And Quest doesn't just play a beat, he plays music.

  • Anyone know where this track can be bought?

  • if you were a drummer you would understand... : )

  • 0 dislikes... That's what's up.

  • quest is really sick

  • the coolest drummer what

  • ohhhhh shiet~

    my heart be still~

  • Mos Def's beef acapella goes well over this if you sync it right :D

  • @hypetracy ur my favorite for telling me that... cuz its amazing...

  • ohshit..... this is going on heavy repeat rotation.

    DOPE...

  • he showed me drums are the most important in music. without them any song/music piece doesn't exist at all . rhythm creates music.

  • @chrupkakromkachleba You've never heard Mumford and Sons

  • @chrupkakromkachleba You can't have rhythm without drums?

  • @chrupkakromkachleba

You can have rhythm without drums. An instrument's importance in music comes down to the way it is used. Each instrument is equally important if used properly and it to it's full potential.

  • @chrupkakromkachleba its kind of arrogant to say that without drums there is no piece of music that can exist. This world has so much possibilities and history and creativity in particular that drums is not necessary but preferred. Rhythm does not create music..... you create music. whats music to one person is noise to another person.

  • @reaperofgenocide I think what he is trying to say is Rhythm is essential to music. Imagine your favorite song being played and during the song one of the members in the band plays out of sync with the rest, that could cause an imbalance in the structure making ANY beautiful masterpiece into a pile of garbled noise,

  • @PsychedelicPrimate i understand what hes saying. My only problem is its too one sided to percussion instruments. When theres a whole world of music without drums and there very well CAN be music without drums.

Thats like me speaking about how divine music is saying "it can save lives and touch your soul and unite people all over the world... but only guitar can do that."

    see what i mean?

  • @reaperofgenocide

YESSS!! I recently learned this very thing! I grew up on all blues and hip hop and reggae, which all feature the bass drums, kicks snares... but then listening to the likes of Chopin or DeBussy, we see that music is more about the beautiful flow than the single element. I like your analogy about the guitar. ?uestlove is definitely fuckin epic though. Big hero of mine. I'm working on this mixtape right now, so I gotta start with the beat man!!!

  • @protohoopz Thanks. Theres a whole bunch of music out there and types of music that you cant grant favor to one instrument alone and expect it to over rule all other instruments. Its like colors for instance... there are no best colors... just complimentary colors and nice or harsh or soothing. Its too diverse to be picky. And its too valuable to be corrupted with elitism.

  • @reaperofgenocide Agreed. Good music is too valuable to be corrupted with elitism.

  • @chrupkakromkachleba Hahaha i get where u're coming from man, but music is a collaboration, or not; all together, or not. its art bro, no standards, no platinum rules, just whatever feels, sounds, looks, tastes right...or not :D.

  • @chrupkakromkachleba Yea, I guess he didn't teach you grammar, but I wouldn't expect a black man to do that anyway.

  • @chrupkakromkachleba

Agreed, I played hand drums before I started playing guitar, and I have no problem picking up rhythems.

"Sure I play guitar, but I have the mind of a drummer."

-Daron Malakian, guitar player of system of a down.

  • @chrupkakromkachleba Too bad for any solo music by harpists, violinists, pianists, guitarists etc etc. Seriosuly, music is much more varied than that, it is what makes it so great.

  • @chrupkakromkachleba great songs/music don't always require beats & rhythms... The game is feel, expression, passion, a mind, a soul, or just plain old love! Hence Questlove... Rhythm may be his game, but he appreciates, respects and acknowledges mankinds classical masters as much as your modern musos! I'm sure Chopin would dig Questlove and vice versa...

  • @chrupkakromkachleba

Rhythm does create music, though drums are not necessarily the most important.

  • @chrupkakromkachleba Wrong. I love drums and am a drummer myself, but a song doesn't always need drums. Other instruments can keep rhythm too. But, yes a song needs rhythm. Just not necessarily drums. I've listened to many songs without drums that still keep a good rhythm!

  • @chrupkakromkachleba True... but not all songs NEED drums. Definitely need a rhythm though... a nice solid groove.

  • @chrupkakromkachleba

Rhythm+melody+harmony=Music.. They all belong together like fire needs all three elements.. All of the elements can stand alone but together they create magic..

  • @chrupkakromkachleba yay Men!

  • @chrupkakromkachleba I love drums, but I disagree, there's a lot of music with no drums or percussion, for example classical.

    Drums create Hip Hop

  • @Jannto Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there is definitely drums and percussion in classical music.

  • @Jannto there is some cases that percussion is used in classical music....... if you want to consider piano as percussive................. and it kinda is tapping out a rhythm

  • @TheTyeTrybe Yeah but there aren't drums. Percussion yeah, some theatrical tom toms and shit, but not drums as in a drumset. And they are played quite differently.

And there isn't percussion in a lot of classical music anyway.

  • @Jannto this is true...........

  • @Jannto if you knew anything about classical music you would know that drums are an important part of classical music. drums have been around since the very beginning and have played an integral part in the development of all forms of music.

  • @jonathanalomoto11 Drums? I've listened to a decent amount of classical music, I've never heard a modern drumset in it.

Yeah orchestral toms, Snares, Cymbals. Separately. But my point is still decent, and classical music was my EXAMPLE of music with no drums. Granted, as you say, there are some exceptions, but really, they aren't used at all like modern drums

  • @Jannto well then maybe your should search: edgard varese - ionisation.. or hit this link /watch?v=a9mg4KHqRPw

  • @jonathanalomoto11 I watched it, why did you want me to watch it?

  • @Jannto its classical music thats only drums

  • @jonathanalomoto11 That's hardly classical music.

  • @Jannto Drums created rock before hip hop :\ And Jazz before Rock, and Big band before Jazz

  • @halo2untouchable Uhhh. What's your point?

I'm just saying that without drums, there would be no HipHop.

  • @Jannto Yeah, but there is also music with only drums and percussion, for example rumba.

  • @chrupkakromkachleba rhythm creates music, or music creates rhythm?

  • @ginayj1992 rhythm creates music and music creates rhythm but in the end its the genius mind who creates them both

  • wow, this is insane

  • genious!

hes the american version of nujabes.
