@Blueoutdoor84 Unfortunately no, it was only made for ps2 and for arcades before that. It only came out in Japan. You can import it but copies are kind of expensive on ebay. Sometimes you'll find it go up as an auction though and get a good deal for it!

@waymanblocker It's for PS2 but it only came out in Japan. You can get a Japanese PS2 plus this game for ~$200.00 or get it on Emulator. Besides Hokuto Musou/FoTNS: Ken's Rage, this is the best HnK game. I saw this video and got the game 2 years ago and trust it is AWESOME.

@bigmelo19 I believe it stems from the original series where she and Rei are lovers. After a fight to the death with Yuda, Rei is also mortally wounded.

After Rei dies, Kenshiro sets the house that Rei died in ablaze so that no one will see his body.

So basically it shows the house which her lover died in, burning.

But the above explanation I gave is to why the burning house appears for Mamiya and that is because of how Rei dies in the FOTNS *Series* as specified in the above reply.

That fight with Raoh takes place before the fight Yuda.

Rei looses to Roah but isn't killed - Raoh hits Rei with a Hokuto Shinken technique to hit one of his key pressure points. He looses the fight and is fatally wounded but doesn't die. Rather he has an indeterminate time to survive. He later fights Yuda which is what actually kills him, good and proper.

In the time that he has left, Rei goes on a hunt after Yuda, killing him for the sake of Mamiya. He then locks himself inside the house, so she doesn't see his painful last moments before the technique finally swaps his life away.

Actually it ended up being Raoh's technique that actually killed him. The pressure point Raoh hit (Shinketsushū) gave him 3 days to live. This is why right after the battle with Yuda the side of his head erupts in blood (and then his shoulder follows).

Throughout the death scene parts of his body are slowly exploding. Nanto (ex: Yuda) are more slashing, whereas Hokuto (ex: Raoh) makes the body explode. If Yuda had killed him he wouldn't be erupting in blood, he'd be sliced apart.

Add that to the fact that the Manga pretty much explicitly states that it was Raoh's technique that killed him (I'm pretty sure the anime did too but I'd have to check it to be sure).

Also, it's probably important to note that Yuda was outmatched fighting Rei from the very beginning, which is why as soon as he started losing he resorted to dirty tricks (like flooding the battle arena).

Actually Yuda didnt fatally wound Rei by any means. Raoh grace hit gave him 3 days officially. Toki extended the grace just enough so he could defeat Yuda, who didnt inflict any mortal wound. So Raoh killed Rei, in a nutshell.

Funnily enough a lot of the things Hokuko Musou were based from this game, including the annoying fact that both Heart, and a generic fodder thug are playable over a bunch of the Nanto masters, Ryuuga, and members of the Gogshasei. Still a good game if you like the series, or Dynasty Warriors games though.

Not to nitpick, but you missed one Fatal KO. Shin has a special Fatal KO that can only be used on himself. It replicates his suicide against Kenshiro instead of dying from Kenshiro's Hokuto Shinken style.
