The grand father of the Yousafzai, Akhmad khan baba is burried between Thana and Alladand. There are three sub sections of the Yousafzai tribe, namely, Ali khel, Bazid Khel and Kanda khel each named after three brothers, Ali, Bazid and Kandak . Shah Ahmed khel, Kator Khel and Baba Khel are the sub branches of Bazid khel. All generally known as khan khels of Thana. The people of Thana are highly educated and fond of music.
