It is... hard to go through. I live in Tennesse, very close-minded, very straight. Of course, I was the only lesbian in my high school. Hah, my graduation class was 38 kids. I'm in my first year of college now, and it's so nice to walk through my (small/community) college, and see the occasional short haired lady, wearing plaid. I don't quite have the nerve to speak yet, but I'll get better! I have some hope! (:

four years is a long time when you are young, it is about 1/3 of your life. i never thought high school would end.

as a mom of a teen ~eek~ who just lost her house and car i have to say that these 'it gets better' vids are even helping me :)
