He has made the more money for the company than any other wrestler having the highest number of merchandise sales. DX also brought in higher merchandise sales and so did the Rock totally eclipsing Cena. the WWE is not making as much money as it did in the late 90's early 00's. With buy rates down and house shows down. Stone Cold made more money for WWE than Hogan.

@DaleWF10 Stone Cold Steve Asutin was the most profitable WWE superstar in the WWF/early WWE. Mid WWE Late WWE it has been Cena,shown my recent studies. Because of all of these little kids Cena is getting a lot of money for the WWE. Maybe you havent looked at the sales lately but there are more people buying shirts and merchandise for Cena to show that they are on his side in the Rock vs Cena fued. Back then it wasn't like that with Stone Cold, was with DX. They are making more money bad ratings

And in 2009 when DX came back they were the top of the merchandise sales list. It my seem like John Cena has high merchanise sales but he is actually very mediocre it's only because he is one of the only top superstars this current time. WWE still sell Stone Cold merchandise and still makes WWE money after a decade of non-active wrestling.

Shawn is only at #1 because the WWE got all sentimental over his retirement. I'd agree with you on Undertaker, because of his Attitude Era days, but lately, his matches, especially his last two WrestleMania matches (Michaels rematch and HHH rematch) look extremely cheesy. It looks like theres no competition at his WM matches anymore

@dubcourt20 Shawn decided to retire that way, because it was the only possible guaranteed way to lose a match. And Triple H put way too much effort into winning for their match not to look cheesy. Plus, he has been on vacation since Wrestlemania, because he is afraid of being too severely injured before his last match at WM28. True, he has won a lot of championships- I won't argue with that- but lately he is more of a coward than a good competitor.
