I don't believe you showed how to improve our drawings. C'mon now what's the secret? I think your skills are just very advanced and you are comfortable with a lot of the techniques of sketching the human head, so you produce a great drawing.

Ok, this is how to draw from a reference, but any idea how to improve your execution from ideas that have come from out of your head?

@ObsidianImages I'm not too sure, but I guess the best thing to do is to just continuously draw the image until what you get on the paper matches what is in your head. From there, it's all on refinement.

@ObsidianImages this is a late reply but, I draw things from my imagination all the time, best thing to do is just know how to shade, know your principles contrast, color, shading etc,.. if it is abstract I wouldnt worry about it but if it is like a character or something, you can always use reference from humans and just tweak it until you get what you are looking for. =]

its a good drawing... but seriously... if you say that you are giving a tutorial... do so...if we want to see speedpainting/art we can utube that as well... but this vid in no way would improve anyone elses drawing skills... so no rating from moi...

@ahsonk well actualy it can help, just glancing at a photo can help, though it is still not a tutorial, it dose help. she adds dark tones to the cheeks, in cirtain spots. she out lines the hair then fills it in extra.
