  • This is FANTATASTIC.

  • Arguing that being a Christ-follower is better than a Christian is kind of like being in the Special Olympics.

Even if you win, you're still retarded.

  • AINT IT THE SAME??

  • LOVEDDDDDD IT!

  • I think most people are over that religion phase... well, the cool people at least!

  • Nice outfit, Christ-Follower

  • christ never was real nor is the bible

  • @gphhawkins even Christ's enemies say he was real and lived. The most popular figure in all of history.. our calendar is even made after him. Millions of writings about him, even outside of the Bible. And his message was love. I pray that you come to know Him now rather than on your day of judgment. "The message of the cross sounds like foolishness to those who are perishing." -1 Cor. 1:18. I urge you to seek the Truth.. if you seek, you will find Him. Eternity awaits. God bless

  • @cubbies4eva no, only believers wrote about him thats all. the bible is NOT real at all, its contradictory, scientifically inaccurate, genocidal, savage, homophobic, and many more, jesus was NEVER real, only claims from the bible thats it. also jesus;s story was written between 70 a.d through 150 A.d. after his supposed death and resurrection. And enough time for them to copy all the saviour myths floating around that area and in that time frame!

  • @gphhawkins why don't you try learning more about it before you assume. I used to doubt until I actually studied myself. There are seriously millions of writings about Jesus that are OUTSIDE of the Bible. And your dates mean nothing, because writings about him were much closer than writings of other ancient historical figures. Most biographies of greatly known figures were over 500 years after their death! The Bible does not contradict itself, and is unbelievably accurate in scientific findings

  • @cubbies4eva yes it does completely

and um yes its scientifically inaccurate. like: is the earth flat? yes. etc.

  • "The Bible does not contradict itself.."

Could you tell me what your definition of 'contradict' is?

Would one verse saying one thing and another saying something different or contradictory be classed as contradiction?

  • @gphhawkins Most of His followers were murdered for believing in Him. Do you really think they would make up a bunch of stories and risk their lives for something that wasn't real? What about the kings and governors of the day and their stories about Jesus? There is more historical proof of Jesus Christ by FAR than any other person or thing you've ever learned about. To say it's made up is simply ignorant, and unwilling to find the truth. Fact: 90% of atheists become believers when they study

  • @cubbies4eva um ok? but again those who WROTE about him never met him or anything, your thinking of his disciples, who were killed/ the early christians. not the people who wrote the damn thing or even edited.

  • @gphhawkins really? The apostle Paul never met him? Historian Luke never met him? His half brother James never met him? Peter never met him? Your facts are completely off. There's also a very particular order of historical writings from that day..if even one person in the entire REGION discounted the events, they would not be recorded. What about the over 500 prophecies from the Bible that have been fulfilled? coincidence? how about over 10,000 manuscripts compared to 150 of Plato/Aristotle

  • @cubbies4eva OMG i said the writters of jesus NEVER met him, not his disciples! your geting the confused with one another. ans no the only record of jesus is the bible and only the bible besides works people wrote about hime sometime after, long, long after

  • @gphhawkins the names I just mentioned WERE some of the writers of the Bible. And if you honestly think there are no other writings about Jesus other than the Bible, you are unbelieeeeevably clueless about the whole thing. Check out "the case for Christ" book. You will be blown away. Or, you can just pretend like you know the answers and not do anything about it. Your call. Everyone wants truth.. everyone wants love. Jesus Christ is both truth, and love. Please seek, and you'll find.

  • @cubbies4eva Please, source me the link (pm me) on the contempory evidence (contempory means recorded AT THE TIME JESUS LIVED) for jesus.

Stop asserting and source me this evidence, if there really are MILLIONS!!"1 then you should not have a problem sourcing me 100.

I wait with baited breath for the first ever contempory evidence of ANY kind of jesus christ.

If you have this evidence we are going to be FAMOUS!!

  • No, paul wrote about jesus about 30 years after jesus was preportadly killed.

The disiples were illiterate, only the very rich were able to read and write, the gospels as you know them were written AFTER pauls writings and the names Mattew, mark, luke and john were placed on those gospels by the early church, dont take my word for it, study your own theology.

Also someone dying for a belief adds no credulity to the claim at all. Many other religious nuts have died for their religions.

  • @cubbies4eva "Fact: 90% of atheists become believers when they study."

Could you link the source material for this assertion?

  • @cubbies4eva Name one, and i mean ONE recorded contempory document of Jesus, friend or "enemy" (by contempory i mean document that was recorded at the time he lived)

  • @Scanini Josephus, Pliny the Younger, Tacitus, Phlegon, Nero, and Thallus to name a few. Many were ancient HISTORIANS who spent their entire lives making sure events recorded were correct. These writings ranged anywhere from 15-50 years after Jesus' death. Writings between 30-60 years after Jesus are insanely more close in years than every other historical figure. Even Muhammad: died in 632, biographies were written in 767. Most other prominent figures ranged from 2-500 years after their deaths

  • @cubbies4eva Thanks for proving my point.

NO CONTEMPORY evidence from the time jesus lived.

    Im sorry but you fail.

  • @Scanini ok.. I guess nothing in history ever happened then. If the documents were more carefully written, studied, and preserved from the Bible over anything else in history, and you don't believe it.. then I guess you have no right to believe a single document from history ever. I've studied this hardcore. You just assume. I don't "fail".. I have eternity waiting on me. I hope one day you will realize it can be waiting for you too. "All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved." peace

  • lol, dont threaten me you idiot.

Rather than sing of your heaven and preach give me a link to your "millions" of records of jesus OUTSIDE of the bible, all that you refered to was not written when jesus was ALIVE, the accounts of Josephus are preportely forged as well, mentioning things in his TINY passage on jesus that DONT fit in with the main body of text.

This is put forward by your own religions thelogens.

If you don tknow this then i refute your "hardcore" research claim...

  • @Scanini The easiest thing I can tell you to do is read the book "the case for Christ." It is a comprehensive and extensive study on so many things that you would love to find out about. If you really think about what is at stake here.. you would truly benefit from at least giving it a chance. Please email me if you'd like to continue the conversation. "Seek and you will find.. ask and you will receive.. knock, and the door will be opened for you." "God is love."

  • The case for christ is book promoting and in the interest of the continuation of your religion.

Lee Strobel is a known chrisitan and a proponant of your religion, he is a jounalist and looks for arguements to support your cause.

I skimmed the table of contents and index to see which critics of Christianity he interviewed. In so doing, I discovered a glaring deficiency in Strobel's journalism: Strobel did not interview any critics of Christian apologetics.

    Biased book is biased.

  • @Scanini Lee was an atheist before asking some of the toughest questions about Christianity in his investigation. He WAS the critic, and a hardcore one at that. You can't get more unbiased than that. I also urge you to read up on stories from "What if Jesus never came..." You will be amazed at how better off this world is because of the response to Jesus and His love. That, my friend, is a ton of proof of a loving God. And it's not religion. That last thing Jesus wanted was religion.

  • @cubbies4eva I dont care whether Strobel was an atheist or not, an atheist rejects claims theists make about the divinity of jesus or any claims of gods, thats it.

I guess Strobel found the evidence he needed to believe, im yet to see it. His bar for evidence of extrodinary claims must be as laughably low as yours.

Nothing in my inbox as yet for sources of your claims of millions of accounts of jesus when he was alive...

Dont disapoint me :( Im actually waiting for these links :s

  • What you need to read is material that is independant of your subject matter.

Reading the bullshit spewed by apologists like william Lane Craig etc is just going to confuse and seep you further into the mire than you already are.

As i said LINK ME THE SOURCES for your accounts of Jesus's life that were recorded by independant or depentant chroniclers of his time.

If you can find ONE out of your millions i will pubically apologise here and seek to immediately study this amazing account.

  • One of the loudest screams from the past about the historicity of biblical events is its silence, according to the bible an entire cities dead got up and walked around. Now we have detailed and comprehensive records of trade, commerce and even menus of local restaurants, we have transcripts from roman accountants of populace movement and unrest, now... you would think just ONE of these people would have mentioned the sight of an entire cities dead get up and walk about a bit?

    No, nothing...

  • @Scanini that... is your argument? wow. Look up the archeological findings that support the Bible. Look up records of historical figures and their reports on Jesus and the events of the day.. Look up all of the studies in "the case for Christ" that was originally done by atheists. Look up how names of towns were changed because of events in Jesus' day. Look up how there have been over 500 prophecies fulfilled already from the Bible. Stop looking for excuses.. "Give them ears to hear..."

  • @cubbies4eva Still waiting for your links to all of this evidence.

What your tiny little mind also does not seem to grasp is i do not have to prove anything, YOU DO. You need to prove these stories true as i make no claims here.

I asked you to either source your claims of all these events or refrain from claiming them as true, as yet im still to recieve one reference to these wild and amazing claims.

Name one archeological finding that supports your claim jesus was the son of god.

  • @Scanini there's more proof of this in history than anything else in the world.. by far. I've studied it for years. You know who else has studied it for years? More people than for any other historical argument. By not believing that just means you don't want to believe it. It would take much more to disprove Jesus than to prove him. Which is the reason so many people find Him when they actually seek Him. I can't say anymore.

  • Oh for goodness sake...

I reiterate, i dont have to prove or disprove (disproving a rejection of a claim is a silly request) anything... Understand?

If (as you say) you have studied it for years then please go ahead, link me the source to these records of Jesus when se was alive, im getting tired of asking.

But tiredness will not stop me, i am a part of a group of people that has had enough of you religious nuts, like the passengers on flight 93, time for you religious nuts is over.

  • @Scanini it's not letting me post any links in this chat. That's why you need to email me. The one about the tomb being guarded is easily proven and all over the internet. Type in "jesus' tomb was guarded" and read the 3rd link for starters. There are also accounts of over 500 people seeing the risen Lord. Risking their lives and getting nothing in return for their claims.

  • @cubbies4eva Im happy to take them in private message on here.

There were 1000 people in ancient Mayan lore that saw a winged god take the heart of a enemy leader from the hands of a priest. Is this evidence enough for this claim?

  • @cubbies4eva Jesus’ burial is important because without it, there can be no tomb from which Jesus can arise in three days. It’s also historically implausible: crucifixion was intended as a shameful, horrible execution which included allowing the bodies to remain nailed up until they rotted off. It’s inconceivable that Pilate would have agreed to turn the body over to anyone for any reason. This may have something to do with why the gospel authors all have different stories about it...

  • @cubbies4eva Remember the gospels were written AFTER jesus died, likely 30-40 years AFTER the events, and the names of the gospels were placed on the the accounts by the church, the disiples were not called Matthew, Mark, Luke or John...

The gospels were penned from stories of stories passed down by people, written and rewritten, translated and copied.

Im sorry, but this is just not good enough evidence for such a claim.

  • @Scanini Okay, I haven't even seen your whole conversation, but I wanted to bring up one random point: 30-40 years of time would mean people who witnessed what happened could still be alive.

  • @PECOAAC I doubt it, the average lifespan of the poor in that era was about 30-40, the disiples would have been 20-30 at his death, theological scholors of the bible itself will tell you that no disiple wrote anything down, the names attached to the gospels were invented by the early church.

Do not take my word for it, go read about it. I doubt very much that there even was a jesus at all.

If you look at the actual evidence its ridiculously thin.

  • There are NO contempory accounts of jesus's life.

If you are interested in the subject put this into YOUTUBE, this guy has done his homework about WHO actually was recordeding the history at the time of jesus supposed life. There are huge reams of recorded history from the time, from people who lived at the time AND in the area Jesus was supposed to have lived and preached.

David Fitzgerald "Examining the Existence of a Historical Jesus"

This guy explains it alot better than me.

  • @Scanini First and foremost, this counterpoint has nothing to do with religion. From a historical standpoint, the evidence is there if a scholar is willing to or has the resources/channels to delve deep enough to find the irrefutable evidence. If you look through the Bible, you would find that saying disciple of Jesus to the right people then would get them anything they needed. Kind of like carrying a badge for a federal agency. They would have lived considerably longer.

  • @Scanini John, believed to be one of the 12 disciples and last living, was the only not to be hunted down and killed by the Romans. He was banished to the Greek island of Patmos, where he would have had a much better chance of survival. It is there that he penned the 4 Gospels, having been there to see it, and the Book of Revelations. He was banished by Domitian for preaching at Ephesus, where he was later buried. Truth be told, if it wasn't true, how do we have all this historical info?

  • @arenafootballfan1 The early church.

Sure there may have been a cult around this time, one that grew quite well.

It took hold in Rome and was eventaually taken on as the national religion, it was a political move.

It is not really historical info, jesus was not mentioned by any of the historians of the time, if you think he was then please PM me.

The tiny and probably forged mentions by josephus and such were just that, insignificant.

  • It's funny how I'm sure you believe in figures like George Washington because of historical documents. But you won't even believe something that has far more documents, far more credibility, and far more detailed study over thousands of years. Look up Sir Lionlel Luckhoo.. the greatest lawyer of all time. someone challenged him to seek the truth, and when he actually studied and stopped assuming, he became a believer. I urge you to do the same.

  • @cubbies4eva We have recorded documents from then GW was ALIVE!

Also i might add from records that had not interest in the worship or promotion of george washington.

  • @Scanini A man who had a short ministry of 3 years.. who had followers who were afraid during his ministry... funny how He's undeniable the most prominent figure of all time, and always will be. After His resurrection, thousands and thousands of people started following Him.There's got to be an explanation for that. Fearful disciples turned into fearless warriors who would die for him. Because He rose and conquered death once and for all. Death no longer has mastery over us.To God be the glory

  • The biggest event that promoted your religion was the emporer constatine converting to chrisitianity at the end of the fall of Rome, Rome left behind the old gods and took on the minor religion as it was at the time.

This single event was the catalyst and main reason chrisitinity is one of the worlds major religions.

As i said before, willing to die for and sying for a cause or claim adds NO credulity to the validity of said claim.

Muslims and Hindus etc have the same authority as you.

  • @Scanini no sir. The biggest event that promoted Christianity, (which is NOT a religion by the way) was when the grave was empty. Keep looking for the Messiah in the tomb.. He's not in there. "The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing."

  • @cubbies4eva Wow, just wow.

I see the problem now, its ok.

Your standard for what is evidence is laughable, to leap from a body has gone missing too "he has risen from the dead" is outlandishly astronomical. Its like blaming earthquakes on a disgruntled god etc, you need to raise your level or standard of evidence when claiming such extrodinary events, the evidence for a body coming back to life when pronounced dead would have to be extrodinary, not "the tombs empty!" Seriously...

  • @Scanini The Roman soldiers would have been executed for failing to keep the body in the tomb. Did they "fall asleep" like on cartoons? No. The tomb was guarded 24/7 by experts. Just something else that is easy to describe, but will fall on deaf ears like yours.

  • @cubbies4eva Please link me to the source you have for claims the tomb was heavily guarded...

Even if you did show me that it was heavily guarded could the guards not have been drugged or bribed? Or did they see the giant stone move and a man fly up to heaven, why open the stone? Surely a god could fly up though the stone and be much more miraculous!

Jumping to "He rose from the dead!!!" is a ridiculous leap.

...but sadly one i see you religious nuts take oh too often...

  • @gphhawkins Amen, well the bible is real, but not a book to be taken litterally true or as any post for morality.

Just read the bible, its disgusting.

Modern secular reasoning has dragged christianity kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

    Thank goodness...

  • Wow, way to flaunt tiny divisions in the church as if we're on "different sides." This video is completely prideful and unchristian.

  • A Christian should be.....is a Christ follower. Not trying to define which is better. To the world, this video makes us look bad. If ur not saved (a Christian) and ur watching this video, apologies....3x. Go to a bible-teaching, God-fearing, Church-planting, missionary-sending, people-caring church. God Bless...5x.

  • @est1 OH THANK GOD dude you saved my soul man if it wassnt for going to a big building on sundays and wednesdays every week now i would be goin to the big firey bad place with every single other person who has ever lived who never believed jesus is the the son of god. MAN thank you so much. your so logical and smart. now i should go on youtube and tell everyone how doomed they are to an eternity of hell fire and still teach them that the "Thing" sending you is all forgiving hmmmmmmmmmmm

  • @xmasterfunk Why thank you. Yes...yes I will tell everyone about going to church on Sundays and Wednesdays. (not sure about Wed though, I like Fridays. Don't you?) Look, u had your opportunity to make this decision. I'm not going to paddy cake your apathetic comment with "I Still Love You" mumbo-jumbo. That's ur perspective to NOT believe and YES u will be going to that FIREY place without Christ. It's called HELL!

Mock Me? Fine. Mock God?.....there ain't enuf sun tan lotion for that. It's HOT!

  • @est1 seems pretty forgiving huh?

  • @xmasterfunk Do you even know what forgiveness is? I wouldn't play around with it if you really understood. What's gonna happen if you show up to the pearly gates (you know, that heavenly place) and you say BUT YOU GOTTA FORGIVE ME? Sorry! You had your opportunity.

There is nothing you and I have in common. If you choose to deliberately not follow, plus mock, my man all the forgiveness in the world can't help you. Only Christ's grace and mercy.

  • @xmasterfunk now I understand that you don't believe in the Judgement Seat or any celestial after-life, but what if you're wrong? That's gonna hurt. My belief leaves nothing to chance. Yours...well....does.

Keep the faith....(irony at its best) of whatever you're not believing or believing in. God Bless....or should I say 'bless'?

  • @est1 logically im pretty comfortable with my beliefs knowing that since the beginning of time man has created religion in order to explain things, i feel its no longer necessary. but you are right about the mocking, thats disrespectful of me but there is just a lot that dossnt make sense to me im sure if we had a discussion in person instead of youtube we would probably get along and have valid points so i wont judge your character based on youtube. but for real have a good one. good talk =D

  • @xmasterfunk okay, you got me. I'm down. I would love to have a civil discussion. Usually all I get are "hater-situations" which bring no sense to any subject even raised. If you have valid evidence to your "non-belief" of my "belief", than I'm down. I've had plenty of discussions with many about this.

I'm no apologist nor do I claim to be. But according 2 my belief, I've got to be seasoned with salt so that I may know how to answer those in question. So let's just say, I've got some seasoning.

  • @xmasterfunk Just keep in mind, you did click on this video which had to do with MY belief and YOUR antagonistic view of it. I didn't click or comment on an Evolution video or Darwin's relativism. You did. So this might be fun. I'm game. Good talking with you.

  • this really messes us up. Bad outlook on what a true Christian is and a horrible example of what they envision a Christ Follower to be. Please, this video is messing it up for the both of you....us....everybody. Seriously!

  • I think that would be so much if it was christian and athiest. I mean christians and christ followers are all in the same family, the christ family, so this seams like it's tearing the family apart

  • @HeartJesus4evr

yes, it does seem like that, doesn't it? and whom does THAT benefit?

  • This series was focused on the younger generation, both Christian and non-christian. "Older" Christians don't like the political correctness, but in order to be heard, we must tailor to the ears of the listener or nobody will hear.

    @Savannah

The terms such as "burn" "fry," "sulfur" and te like, are te exat types of terminology I think this series is trying to avoid. it is extremely abrasive to non-Christian ears, ad can brainwash the understandings of new Christians via fear.

  • Why all this movement against the term Christian. Christian is a biblical term used in the book of ACTS

  • @ggblue35 it's more about the bad image that has been given

to the term Christian than anything else.

  • This is continued from my other post...When you adopt other spiritual practices to Christs teachings, you diminish & corrupt the truth. What we see is a movement, community of churches that are turning people into a group of free thinkers that do not look to the Bible ALONE as literal guide for their spiritual living. They are promoting spiritual experiences a Christianity without the Bible.

  • Gods word doesn't change it is eternally true, it can speak to, be used for every generation. For it to affect the hearer it must be spoken/explained correctly without tainting it with the current philosophies of the day.

  • Ha, im totally more like the Christian character in these parodies. Id take proper exegesis over emergent fluff any day.

  • A while back, this guy Paul wrote a couple letters to a dude named Timothy about the "seeker-friendly" movement that would soon "emerge".

    Something about itchy ears?

  • These videos are teaching us to mock real people...

Some of these souls are dying and going to hell, because they still trust in religious tradition instead of Christ alone.

And has your love for them grown or diminished since being encouraged to laugh at them?

Those of us who have truly come to know Christ personally should be praying for them and not making fun of them. They're people, and many of them are perishing for lack of knowledge... like we were.

Bless the Lord, O my soul.

  • this is a parody to teach ppl bud, the commercials point out the flaws between apple and pc just like "following Jesus" and being a "christian"

to follow Jesus you have to pick up your cross daily and live ur life to emulate how jesus lived

  • I've just watched several of these videos and I don't really understand. Are they supposed to be funny?

  • Yeah . . . You're not the only one. I think it's just a bad joke repeated over and over again.

Come to think of it, I think these guys write "songs" for Nickelback.

  • ya the first 1-3 were alright, but the last 3 were awful..... LOL THE NICKELBACK PART!!!!!!!!!!!!! NICKELBACK IS AN AWFUL BAND....

  • I'd ask what a Christ follower is, and how it's different from a Christian... but I'm afraid you'd tell me.

  • @hossrex these videos are emergent fluff and ridiculous!!! a Christ follower is a Christian if these people in these 'new' christian mega churches would bother to read their bibles!!

  • @missingjim: "a Christ follower is a Christian if these people in these 'new' christian mega churches would bother to read their bibles!!"

If you followed the bible, and lived your life like Christ... shouldn't you be Jewish? You realize that Jesus was NEVER a Christian, right? Lived and died a Jew. He went around TEACHING Jewish philosophy.

I'm going to get some serious hate for pointing out that fact.

  • @missingjim If you knew anything about the emergent movement you would know it has nothing to do with mega churches.

Also, if you read you bible you would realize that church is not a building or a service, but a lifestyle and a community, both things that the emergent church advocate for.

  • Are you kidding me? I can't believe 80,000 people wasted their time to watch this and I was one of them. Why don't you do something productive? Perhaps give us information? Zero Stars for douche baggary.

  • u dont undestand the video

  • Bill Gates is an Atheist...shouldn't the guy in the suit be an Atheist too? You know...he could go on the whole 'I do practical things with my time' kick, while the 'Mac' could say 'Well - I have a wild imagination, and I terrorize my children with delusions of hellfire and demons while raising them to be intollerant'?

  • @jcantlie No kid is terrorized because if you ask Jesus to forgive you (and if you really mean it) then you can go to heaven. It's just an honest truth that if you don't accept Jesus, you will burn. Isn't it just as bad as saying, "You can do whatever you want because there is no one out there like lie, cheat, steal, cuss, drink, and gamble!" Or like saying "When you die you just die and lie there and rot forever." Yeah that's SO much better. Those are the "practical" things atheists do.

  • @SavannahCaldwell There are people out there that WILL punish me for lying, cheating, stealing, cussing, drinking and gambling. I do not need a God to tell me these things are wrong - I have a built in socially evolved morality of my own. I will never put my children to the sword for being disobedient, or stone anybody for working on the sabbath. I will never terrorize a child with hellfire for being willful, and am content to answer some of their questions with 'I don't know'.

  • @jcantlie No one said you had to put your children to the sword or stone anyone. That's why Jesus came. To forgive you. I tell people "I don't know" too. If God answered every question that popped into our heads, the Bible would be way too long to read. There is nothing wrong with being willful. God gave us free will. He wants us to make our own decisions...He doesn't want a bunch of robots. God knows we aren't perfect, so He will forgive us, and we can go to heaven :)

  • @SavannahCaldwell if you're going to argue in favor of it, you should really read your Bible. God commands and perpetrates all manner of wickedness. 'Free will' - only as long as we don't break his commandments; and knowledge is a curse bestowed on us by a woman who broke His only law (at the time) and ate an evil fruit - causing us to be sinners from the day of our birth through all eternity?! The Bible is full of contradictions, cruelties and absurdity.

  • @jcantlie People keep saying that there are contradictions, but that depends on which Bible you read. The English Bible is a translation of what PEOPLE interpreted, and not the exact translation. There are no mistakes in the original.

  • @SavannahCaldwell Which original would that be? The Dead Sea Scrolls?

  • @jcantlie The original untranslated Hebrew Bible.

  • @SavannahCaldwell The original Hebrew Bible is still just a collection of earlier myths cobbled together over time - with all the associated weirdnesses, conflicts, contradictions and orders to do evil deeds at the behest of God as later versions. Simply being in Hebrew does not wash away its many errors and incongruences.

  • @jcantlie Ok whatever. But all I was saying is that humans translated the Bible, and of course they will make mistakes, but believe what you want.

  • @jcantlie why are you watching a thing about christian when you obviosly don't like them. That seams like a real practical thing to do with your time

  • @HeartJesus4evr Christians are fighting harder than ever to turn the most powerful country in the world into a theocracy. Muslims are taking over the Middle-East. Peoples rights are being trampled - women, children and homosexuals are being terrorized, tortured, and oppressed - all in the name of primitive mythology. It would be derelict and negligent of me (as a member of our species) not to do what I can to dispel these pernicious and destructive superstitions.

  • I suggest you google terms like: emergent church and seeker freindly. The issue is that some believers feel they need to avoid the negative doctrine (hell, judgement, separation, Christ as the ONLY way to salvation) to market Christianity to non-believers. A watered down gospel is not THE gospel according to Galatians.

  • I rather be a Christian because I realize I am saved by Christ work alone and not what I feel.

  • christians trying to be cool by chaning their lable to "Christ-follower".. do they really follow the Jewish Messiah of Israel? The Jewish Messiah of Israel described inb the Bible taught the Torah (law of Moses), kept the 7th day Sabbath (Saturday), and he didnt eat pork. You christians are phonies... you follow ROMAN Catholic religion.

  • o look you replied to this too! wow, i am glad to see you speaking your mind! i am sure everyone who comes across this video will be moved by your comment. I hope you do something more productive with your time.

    God Bless you.

  • its true. well, "true", as religion can never be accepted as a fact.

  • I agree 100% with what Torahislife said! Yeshua followed the Torah, if you are really a "Christ-follower" then you should to!

Torahislife, you really don't know how encouraging it is to me to see that their are others who see things the way I do. There are so few of us... Thank you for your comment!

    Shalom,

  • Thanks. Anyyone seriously seeking the truth must read what Yeshua himself said in Matt 7:21-23. After 30 years in churchianity, YHVH ripped my blinders off by showing me such scripture. Praise the God of Israel and His King Yeshua! We need to pray for christians who remain blind to the truth (Torah) Yeshua AUTHORED, taught and lived. Yeshua HaMoshiach is returning soon and I hope to see you in his Kingdom brother!

  • Actually, Jesus broke the Sabbath- read the bible.

Roman Catholicism is Christ's Church- look at history, not your made-up concept of history.

"I would rather you be hot or cold, but because you are lukewarm, I will vomit you from my mouth" revelations

  • dude it's just trying to show Christians don't have to be boring and serious and he is saying Christ Follower because when u say christian they say "oh what kind Catholic,Orthodox,ETC" so Christ follower is easier to understand that u believe in Jesus and the bible NOT Catholics or Orthodox

  • Agree - it is much simpler to just imitate Christ. The point is that Christians dont REALLY imitate Christ. Christ was a Torah-observant Jew. Jesus did not eat unclean things (Lev 11), he taught and perfectly obeyed God's law (commandments in first 5 books of the Bible - the "Torah"), he observed the Feasts of YHVH (Lev 23) and kept the weekly 7th day Sabbath the Father decreed in Gen 2, Ex 20. How many "Christ Followers ACTUALLY follow Christ like that???

  • Nobody can follow Christ like god he was PERFECT Christians are people who have to try there best in being good but some stuff in the old testament god said to stop doing like killing animals because thats like saying u can do what ever you want just kill a sheep afterwords so god said no more killings to animals thats 1 thing

  • Huh. JESUS SAID: " Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect even as your heavenly Father is perfect. " Guess you proved my point - Christians just talk about Jesus, but they dont really follow him. Pretty lame. Why follow him at all? Why claim to?

  • yeah but god said in Romans 10 none have doeth god all have sinned and fell shortly in the glory of god try to be as perfect as a human can try not to sin

  • Either Jesus REALLY meant what he said or he's not worth trusting your eternal salvation to.

FYI - Romans 10 explains that those who do not repent (those who do not resist sin) are not saved. He cites Israel as an example of those who have God's truth but do not obey.

  • we're no longer under the law, so stop trying to live by the law!

  • You are just repeating what you heard someone else repeat. Do you even know where this misquote comes from and what the author was actually talking about?? Check this out: Romans 6:14-15"But we are not under the law, but under grace. What then? Shall we ignore God's law, because God's grace saves us from the penalty of breaking His law? God forbid." Paul was a Torah observant Jew like His Jewish Messiah, Jesus.

  • The people at the time Paul was dealing with were attempting to live by the law instead of thru the cross. paul explained that we are free from the law because the cross set us free, Christ fulfilled the laws demand for a sacrifice, he paid our debt. So why continue to follow the law?? Paul said you can't do it and so do I.

  • You're kidding, right? You are telling us Paul is telling us to ignore God's own commandments, ignore His prophets, and foret everything Jesus did and said? That's 90% of the Bible. Either God is a liar or you are repeating a lie. And you are saying we cannot obey God's commandments? If you can post just 1 SINGLE SCRIPTURE telling us we can't keep God's commandment, I'll recant. Better to THINK and follow God's word than simply repeat what someone else told you. Your soul depends on it.

  • Learn the difference between God's commandments and the LAW. Do you sacrifice daily??? Get real.

  • Comment removed

  • God Himself revealed the heart of His standards through the Ten Commandments a long time ago at Mount Sinai and they actually reveal the very nature of God Himself. Jesus founded Christian faith on the principle of love. The law ended when the true Passover Lamb said It is Finished and bowed His head and died. An unseen hand tore the temple curtain from top to bottom signifying the end to that temporary sacrificial system.

  • Comment removed

  • The LAW does reveal God's heart. You're saying Jesus came to speak against His Father - to do away God's revelation and standards? 1Jn 5:3 "This is the LOVE of God, that we keep His commandments and His commandments are not burdensome." Jesus delcared he did NOT come to abolish the LAW, that not a jot would change until creation is destroyed (Mt 5:17). Post just 1 scripture telling us we are free to disregard God's commandments or that we cannot keep them!

  • the law was fulfilled by Christ on the cross, we are now under grace. Christ finished his work, which you no longer need a sacrifice for slavation, Christ became the sacrifice.

  • Just follow Christ bro, he paid your sin debt on the cross. But this idea that we are still under the law is junk. The law was completed on the CROSS, if the law was still in affect, why do we go to the cross for salvation?? You simply are straining on a nat while swallowing a camel.

  • Follow Christ - that right! Let's REALLY OBEY him and imitate his example.

John 15:10 "If you obey My commandments you will ABIDE in My Love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.

1 John 5:3 "For this is the LOVE of God, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not burdensome."

We can follow man-made religion and call it "Christ" or we can follow the REAL THING. Lets just be honest & accept EVERY WORD of God, not just parts we like.

  • "You see that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only". James 2:24

Satan does not care if you are Christian or not as long as he can control you. He does this through deception such as convincing you that following God's law is impossible. Understand this: Christ was fully MAN. You can obey God JUST as well as He did if you are willing to put your entire heart into it.

  • Christ was fully man AND deity - he was God in the flesh. He was without sin. Now, as to your comment, there is a difference in the law and God's commandments. Do you sacrifice daily? Under the law a priest needed to sacrifice to cover man's sins, we don't do that now because Christ came as the ultimate sacrifice. Christ followers state that sinners can serve God wthout repenting - it cna't be done. Try doing some research on this okay?

  • You are right - we CAN obey God's commandments! Christ repeatedly instructed us to. He also warned that in the last days his enemies would profess him but oppose God's law. (Matt 7:21-25). Pray God will continue removing the blinders off more of us who have been blinded by the lies of historical christianity. Time is growing very short!

  • Um...I notice the Matt commandments u site...what about the rest? And God said back in the old law that man can't really do everything he asked...though you say things changed in the NT, um...and God is not supposed to change...whoops! you seem to only listen to things within both testaments that seem more convenient for the institution.

  • I accept ALL of His commandments. Did Jesus REALLY mean what He said in Matt 5:17-19? Did God does REALLY mean it when He says His word is ETERNAL and that He NEVER CHANGES (Malachi3:6)? This isnt about believing what WE WANT TO. Accept it all of the Bible or none of it, but dont play religious games with it like the Pharisees

  • by the way, these "christ followers" do not believe in inital sin, they don't believe one must repent to be saved and that sinners can follow Christ without being born again. Again, stupid people trying to live by stupid man made traditions.

  • But it is seeker-sensitive fluff that sends people to Hell.

How is this supposed to be funny?

    signed,

    Confused

  • This is crap. "We hide under our uncomfortable pews"?? What? What Christian does that? This blatant mockery is pure crap.

  • National Burn Your Bible Day December 25th 2012

  • why wait so long?

  • The Mayans supposedly predicted the world would end on December 23, 2012. By planning a holiday on Christmas two days after the alleged date of the apocalypse, atheists spread their message of intolerance because they think it makes them look smart.

  • @ClevelandRock intolerance? i think atheists are more tolerant of new ideas than most religious people. youre an idiot.

  • @isit7or13

i suppose the irony of your post is completely lost on you.

  • Geez, you all---you watch these things and you don't even realize the deception they are nudging forward. Being a "Christ follower" can mean anything. You could be a Buddhist and call yourself a "Christ follower" who sees Jesus only as a good teacher. There is NO gray area on this. Jesus is the Son of God. The ONLY way to God is by acknowledging you are a lost sinner and by accepting Jesus' death on the cross and His shed blood as payment for your sin debt. THE ONLY WAY.

  • You need to read up on history bud...there is absolutely no credable evidence to show that the Jesus you speak of even existed. To say that he is the only way to salvation is simply silly and narrow minded. You discount every other belief there is in the world by saying christianity is the only truth...what shallow folly. It is pride of the worse sort and does it not say that pride goeth before the fall? I get the impression you're one of the literallists I hear about...sad man...sad.

  • I agree.

  • Then prove them, for while we can see and hear, others have yet to do so. Do it not just with Josepheus (who actually manage to show Jesus truly exist in history) and other research that show he is truly the son of God, but also by following the two greatest commandment: "Love god with all of your heart, your soul, and your strength" and "Love your neighbour as yourself." Ironically many christian are acting like the Pharisees instead of love and chased many who could have been saved away.

  • they are both dumbshits!! follwing somethimg they never saw or touch..

  • This kinda makes it look like you can't be a christian and a christ follower but you can i mean as long as you believe the word and want to follow god it doesnt matter what section of the church you are. This shows christians as being uptight and not where god wants them when many are seeking Jesus. Idk thats just my thoughts.

  • grow a pair would ya? my Lord doesn't end every statement with "idk just my thoughts" and so neither do i. i speak with the confidence that he gives to me, not that wich comes from myself. Jesus came to save the world from their sins. he told us to do ttwo things: repent (this means that you say sry for your sins and then change your way of living to attempt to become more like christ every day), and love eachother, and love other ppl. as long as we do these things, we glorify the Father.

  • I don't think some people are gettig the point.

I'm a Catholic however I'd identify with "Christ follower" mainly because the younger generation of christians read the bible with an open mind and decide what to believe but more often than not we're told to conform to the "norm" of christian thinking, its more a show of "Just because we were jeans and a hoody and listen to rock music doesn't mean we're all full fledged heretics", times change, the package is different but the message is the same

  • fair point, but if we unite on the wrong focus, is that more helpful? People don't have to bend into the exact shells these videos show, it's just a creative way of helping us realize that far too often, as christians, we focus on the wrong things. We focus on ourselves and our appearances to others instead of focusing on Christ. If we focus on Christ, everything else will be how he wants it to be. We simply need to remember that if we focus on Jesus, He'll take care of the rest

  • I've just watched all of these 'parody' videos, and I admit I had quite a good laugh at some of them. Then it struck me, these videos are actually potentially very divisive. We don't need to be pointing the finger at each other as Christians, we need unity. In that regard, I don't think these videos are that helpful... :(

  • Christianity is defeated already in the West anyway. And I don't shed a tear. If anything has shown the absurd blindness of the religious sheep than it has been the great evils American Christians have partaken in the last 8 years. This group has no moral authority at all anymore. The sad thing is it isn't a callous character that has caused them to do the things they did, it has been their sheer stupidity.

  • jpbalkenende---Christianity has never been defeated anywhere. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lives forevermore and will ultimately rule and reign. Satan has blinded the spiritual eyes of multitudes, you among them. I don't defend ANY religion. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, come in flesh, and He lived a sinless life, gave his life ont he cross for our sin, and rose again to live forevermore. The ONLY way to God is through Jesus Christ and His shed blood as forgiveness for sin. THE ONLY WAY.

  • Ok... sure buddy xD. Anywayz nobody cares about Christ in the west except a few lost in the wilderness Americans who have clearly lost any sense and purpose. Nobody cares in the east. Only in Africa and south America. Christ hasn't been defeated but nobody cares anymore if it makes you feel better xD

  • jpbalkenende---You have no idea how many hundreds of millions of men and women name Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. You are a cynic and that is your choice and your right. But to say nobody cares anymore? Only a fool could believe such foolishness. He changes more hearts and lives in a single day than your cynical words of disbelief will touch in a million lifetimes. He didn't make me "feel better"---He took away my sin and He changed me inside and made me decent and clean. I pray for you.

  • Did you vote for Bush? If so I won't consider you a decent man.

  • Aww maybe that's a bit harsh. I shouldn't assume so much. Maybe you're just naive.

To answer your question, about 2 billion people call themselves Christians. Though I doubt the number douchy enough to call themselves 'christ followers' to be substantially less. Maybe half ever go to church? What I meant though is outside of those 2 billion and even among them the religion has lost substantially in respect the last few years. When Christian- and Muslim Zealots started ruining our planet.

  • What the hell is a 'christ follower'?

  • the 'cool' version of a christian for today's youth (the future sponsors of the church'

  • Sounds rather out of touch to me, but fight the good fight anyway xD

  • "What the hell is a 'christ follower'? " an asshole who follows or beleives in a character from a fairy tail book called the Bible, very simple :D

  • 1 Peter 4:16

However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.

  • So, those ol' fuddy duddy "Christians" just don't get it anymore? "Christ Followers", i.e. the "cool, young, new generation" REALLY know how to be "real" Jesus people! I get the apparent point, but it's a bit insulting to those who built the bridges and trod the path before them.

  • "Then his disciples began arguing about which of them was the greatest. But Jesus knew their thoughts . . ."

  • awesome! so true :D

  • It's just suppose to be a joke stop complaing.

  • The problem is, this satire is unidirectional!

Also, seeker-sensitive is majorly mainstream and approves of the Emergent church, by and large.

  • The Christian is like my Grandma & the 'Christ Follower' is just like my bestfriend :)

(ftr I'm atheist but wtv) I like these adds, they're funny.

  • I've watched 5 of these and found them very untasteful. I'm a Christian teen and while I see the point they're making, I believe Christ-follower is a little *too* seeker-friendly whereas Christian is a little too "holy". I think the REAL Christian lifestyle should fall in the middle, and these parodies aren't portraying a TRUE follower of Christ.

  • AMEN! Couldn't have said it better myself!

  • Amen too!!

Some Christians think rock is devil music, and some wear jeans and flip flops to church, it doesn't matter if you sing hymns or have a fish sign on your car, we all serve the same God, right???
