thanks for watching, TheDabeavis...i have done alot of Devils...maybe only two orders of Blues...but yeah, they look cool....i like painting the flames on Brodeur's mask. too.
I just wish I could play the game as good as I can paint it. lol I'm in the South Jersey bubble hockey league and am its worst player. Nobody wants to play me with a brush though. lol
really cool paint work......i didn't notice a #66 player in this video. i'm sure it was just an oversight on your part. or was it intentional ? hmmmmm
I do not give away my trade secrets, espec ially oline, I do perform the painting as a service. if you give me an emai l address I can send you more information. Keep on bubbling.
My dad and i have a carrom bubble hockey table and actually after watching this video, are inspired to repaint our players for 2009-10 Penguins vs Flyers. (Im a pens fan my dad is a fly-guy) awesome video thanks!
Joe, Awesome job on the video. I love all the classic players, Orr, Dryden, Esposito etc. Painting those masks has got to be painfully time consuming job!
Joe - Great job with the player detail (I even enjoyed the commentary). If you get a chance, check out our bubble hockey "discussion" on our issuenite show (10 min).
04/15/09 - Pens 4 Cryers 1 ... looking like a repeat of last year playoffs -- you Flyer fans keep clinging to the past (Bobby Clarke, Joe Watson et al) ... the future is ours! LETS GO PENS!!!
The puck is not suppose to bounce out of the net after a goal is scored. The way its designed is there is a clear piece of plastic hanging from the top of the goal mouth down to prevent the puck from escaping. if your table does not have this...think of the clear plastic sleeve a baseball card is put in....get two of those sleeves and tape them on each goalie net yourself....
i've had a bubbly hockey for, let's see... 10 years? i've played it plenty, like PLENTY in these 10 years. still haven't found a good solution and yes i do see the clear plastic. i assume that a mesh net would cushion the force of the puck going in, therefore staying in the net and going down... like the plastic ones were designed
This was the best comment I have ever received on this You Tube movie. I am an actor who likes to fiddle in movie production. The goal horn is a sound effect that I added to this production. Sorry to disappoint you.
i thought that after i watched it a couple times :p nice paint by the way. since you seem like you're pretty knowledgeable when it comes to bubble hockey, do you know of any way to make mesh nets (so the puck doesn't hit the net and come out, and truth be told it would look cool)
do you mean my painted players or the game itself? my painting will hold up and talking to arcade vendors here is little that can go wrong witht he game itself...except maybe a wear and tear issue with a gear box that might need replacing. hope this answers your question.
thanks. I'm an actor also interested in movie production. I decided to combine those interests along with this sports hobby to produce this movie short.
saving my pennies now for a table and a set of the '94 Rangers and my all time fav stand up goalie, since these bubble netminders don't drop either, Pete Peeters! thank you for your work.
Wow! So this is what Pat Sajak is doing now a days? Lol. Pretty cool video though and cool they got him to help sell these custom bubble hockey sets. They look really good actually.
what do you charge to paint the 2 teams, plus what is the Waite time

gillies,
You can pickup a used game for around $1,000.00 on ebay or craig's list.
I have a picture of Bossy with Trottier trailing behind him hanging at work...

I wish I had a bubble hockey table so that I can order Bossy, Tonelli, Trottier, Potvin, Morrow & Billy Smith from you...in their old home whites.

how do you get the goal horn to go off when you score? order an mp3, or is it a new feature within the newer bubble hockeys?
