  • Its like a cheat code!!!

  • ...The 16 beats could all have been better illustrated with some definite percussion like a beat pattern from P.90 to P.99.

  • The Kaossilator Pro is really something and can be dialed to loop-length 16 without all this gesticulation.

Another undocumented feature: hold down Scale and tap Loop and you can get quickly back to the Program menu from any other menu like Scale, Key, Loop Length or bpm.

  • terrific wallpaper, tutorial appreciated

  • hahaha, comment of the year. Hands down. Congratulations.

  • hahaha! comment of the year indeed!

  • I'm touched—really.

  • old feature ;P

  • First question about how u did that video.

The KAOSSILATOR is not even connecterd with wires and you have recoded the sound from it... (Headphone jack or u recoded it after?) I know it's a dumb question but still it freaked me out... 8o

  • he could have connected the headphone jacks on the bottom to the computer.

  • Oh true - hi did - 0:53

  • you can by speakers which attack tho the bottom...

  • @VIPKYD The answer is that the Kaossilator ALSO has a line out at the BOTTOM for a 1/8" phono-plug jack, where earphones can go. You can connect either the RCA terminals at the top or the 1/8" jack. I use the latter, and connect to the AUX of my computer, record all sources and my videos have the full stereo sound of the Kaossilator and nothing but.

  • Oh. Also, the color of the little recording light changes from red to some kind of orange.

  • Holy crap it works! Must be a sexy Easter Egg or some kind of hidden beta feature. Or Korg are just assholes.

one question: can you switch it on/off or if you set this secret mode, it is forever?Thx

  • Changed the name of the vid, 'debug' mode was probably a little misleading. I'd definitely say it's an 'undocumented mode' tho.

  • no difference, just 16 beats, no fix and no count (not a problem if you start with any kind of beat) patches are the same, still no volume control etc

hope someone finds a "debug(lol)" mode that enables the big knob to act as a volume for the patch that way you can decide which vloume you want that patch 80 kick when recording it in the KO1

  • What could "dLY" stand for? Delay? Double Loop Yeild? Debug Loop Yes?

  • Oh, I've tried it. I can about guess how it works.

Normally, you'd have two storage banks. When you hold down the record button you're recording into one bank. You can then "FIX" the stuff you've recorded if you like it - This puts the stuff into the second bank, and frees up the first.

What this little trick does is that it lines up the two banks, playing them one after another, therefore doubling the length. This means that the FIX function actually doesn't work.

    Cool trick!

  • What's different about debug mode?

  • "This gives you 16 beat loops, but there are a few drawbacks. It's still a neat trick."

click "more" details over on the top left.

    16 beat,its longer or somethin'more music!

  • You know when you hit "loop" that it counts from 1 to 8 and then repeats? When you use 16 beat loops you wont see this countdown, so its a bit harder to sync the loops, but at least this will give you twice the amount of time to work with, thus making the loops less repetetive.

  • ahh,i understand,thats pretty cool.

more time to make a more varied loop and to try more stuff.

    Cool

  • I wonder if there are other drawbacks? Like lower loop audio quality, or differences in the programs?

  • you cannot FIX when you're in this debug mode

and you can't stop the loopplay it is rolling all time
