Virtua Tennis has never been about realism.

It is an arcade game at heart, take that into mind.

the ideal pace for a tennis game would be between this one and TS3.

also this game would be much better without that goo that follows the ball every time you hit a shot. and when you get cramped up and don't have time for a signature shot, your player hits a retard looking shot. but that's in most tennis games, except TS1 which i still think is as close to a perfect tennis sim (barring the AI) i've ever seen.

this game looks exactly like VT3, but i guess it's still quite fun if not realistic.

its a good game but its far too fast paced.

Its too unpredictable where the ball will go, half the time im struggling to even get a single point even on serve let alone break.

Think i'll wait for the next top spin.

you cant predict where the ball will go only if the opponent make a powerful shot.

when the opponent make a powerful shot? only if you do a weak shot.

if you play well then the opponent will be the one who will have to predict where the ball goes.

It's such a small feature that makes a huge difference... also in these games only TS2 truely captures the feel of a grand slam... You get that huge ass prize money, you play all the rounds, the huge stadium, the top players, everyone plays way harder... and I really liked TS2's career... it had so many little things that made it great

The player models are hideous on VT 2009 which cannot be said for the UFC ones which are very good (the ones that have been scanned are anyhow)

Plays better (in my opinion) than the earlier versions (on the xbox anyhow). And after playing Top Spin 3 again, I find I prefer the more arcade representation of VT 2009 - it's more fun to be able to hit the shots you want and out-play your opponent rather than wrestle with more complicated mechanics to even hit cleanly.

Well from watching this i can still see two flaws from the previous games.

1). The ball has a trail, which looks un-realistic. Top Spin 3 doesn't have this, so why does Virtua Tennis?

2). The players sound the same, and there sounds aren't like their real sounds. Only Sharapova's is the closest.

I will still buy this game though, cos i love this game and i love tennis [:

EA's grand slam tennis seems to have pretty accurate player grunts, at least from what i've heard in the wii version. I'd look into that if i were you. Should be coming out for the ps3/360 sometime in the fall

why on earth was top spin 3 slowed down on wii it made it so bad! graphics look great and there seesm to be some sponsors now. hoepfully the world tour will be challenging from the start rather than waiting until your 90% of the way through to get difficult!

also the guy said you will know the ball moves faster in vt when on a hard court and on clay you will slide around again, you didnt slide on clay in vt3, you do in top spin but i hope they add this.

On the tour, you start as an amateur playing against players made up by the new player creator. Then you go on to the pro tour, so it should be more challenging all the way through. You can also take your tour character online into online tournaments and bring prize money back into your own tour!

The Wii version is the full version as per X360 and PS3, it has all 40 courts, 23 players, all the World Tour etc. It also has online capability on Wii, and can be used with or without Wii MotionPlus
