Hey Anne-Marie! I was wondering if you could show us how to make those adorable little soap bars that have objects molded inside of them? You know, like how you made that blue soap with the penguin inside?!
Hi! I'm a 13 year old girl so I have some acne and am using specific medicated wash for my face from the dermatologist. Are the clay masks OK to use with the medicine or should I stay clear?
Clay is a fantastic way of drawing chemicals and other harmful impurities out of the skin. Charcol has similar properties. Masks are great and all, but I want to see more soap!
I was told by a cosmetologist, that whenever I do a mud or a clay mask it is really bad to stay in a vertical position. The mud/clay dries out and pulls you skin down (gravitation), and you get wrinkles! And it is also not the best idea to talk for the similar reason...
Loved the first recipe (I have oily skin) - definitely gonna try this at home! Thanks Anne-Marie!
@BOOSHCY actually clays are used in hair recipes all the time. they draw out impurities from the hair and scalp just like they do skin. rhassoul, henna, and bentonite hair masks are used a lot, and terrasentials mud wash is made of clay also.
How sweet, baby drool. I would never have noticed. It was so funny when they circled it. Hee, hee, . Ok the first mask, "Just add Water" is for oily skin. The second "Rich Mud Mask" you did not mention if it was for dry or normal? The third one you also did not mention what skin type? Sorry, I am just curious and don't want to give the wrong mask to the wrong skin type.
@sassylassy01 I would say the Rich Mud Mask would be good for oily to normal skin and The Fresh one would be good for normal to dry skin. But it is also a matter of personal preference. I can't wait to hear how it works for you!
@xxJunaixx You can find everything at Bramble Berry of course. But if you do find powdered clay locally make sure it is cosmetic grade and not what artists use. You don't want it to have any heavy metals in it.
I love the dry clay method. I spray a pimple with witch hazel and apply dry clay. It sticks. I spray again and let it dry to spot-treat pimples. Works like a charm for me. Clay is awesome.
