This is still a shocking scene even decades after its release. It never fails to have an emotional impact on me. Yes, this is certainly an Oscar worthy performance by Gene Tierney.
@zamusicza I agree Gene should have received an Oscar, this film has stood the test of time, you can see where Hitchcock got the idea for the cops sunglass scene in Psycho...what is going on in the mind is been hidden behind the darkness of the glasses because it is to terrifying to contemplate.

This scene is still chilling today. Holds up. Every second of it. Gene not getting the Oscar for this role was a huge mistake.
