We don't know what happens to Fred, Will, Linda or Kelly in the period during which Halo 2 takes place. I guess it makes for better reading as opposed to video game creation to have more Spartans...either way, nice Vid

Actually, between Halo 1 and 2 we know that 5 Spartans remain: John, Fred, Will, Linda and Kelly. All but Kelly were on their way back to Earth after destroying nearly 500 covie ships in a sneaky first strike (she was taken by Dr. Halsey on some secret mission).
