Your right only congress can declare war even though the President can commit troops for several months it takes congress to agree to this points. Here lies the funny part all of them did. They will say now get out but they were firmly behind the presidnt whichI still am.
He really needs to get off the meth, and get into X. That's the drug of choice around the whitehouse. When Rove threw parties with Jeff Gannon, there was enough pooper stuffing to fill a crime lab with DNA.
But back to the point.
The Dems caved when 1/3 of them joined all the Repubs to pass the "Pork & Iraqi Population Control Bill". They should be ashamed. It's all their fault...NOT!
Continue with your struggle to clean America of it's liberal, teen minded, ignorance. The truth will allways irritate their misguided, factless and inept, world view. The truth will allways be found in the facts. Not in the biased representation of facts.
Congress does not run the military. Congress does not have any authority over the military. Congress wants to make military policy instead of the military determining their own policy. And to top it off, President Bush is a PUBLICALLY ELECTED official. And in the end its him who holds the responsibility and the legacy that will happen, not congress (if congress approves a bill to disband the military its still Bush's fault because he's commander and chief).
Congress DOES have power over the military. In fact, ONLY congress under the Constitution may delcare war. ONLY Congress can fund war.
Please read the Constitution of the United States --or do they bother to teach it anymore?
And, last time, I checked members of Congress were, likewise, PUBLICALLY elected officials. Bush, on the other hand, got fewer votes in Florida and was NOT elected. Moreover, the Electoral College is anything BUT a Democratic process and should be abolished.
Congress has no power over military policy..period. Congress can declare war. Once thats done they can't control how the military proceeds. Congress funds the war. They cannot micromanage how the military uses those funds. Please read the Constitution yourself and get those facts clear.
Bush got the majority in Florida. Give it up dude. Too many independent groups recounted, found he won, and posted their results...quietly. =p
"Any questions?" Yeah, HTF did that dumb bitch get elected? Oh, yeah, Kalifornians. Nevermind.
