Astrology seems to ignore the laws of cause and effect or sowing and reaping. Multiple people with the same birthday can have totally different lives based on thier behavior and not thier sign, One person of a sign may be rich , one poor , and another in jail for a crime , one happily married and another miserably single. These readings and descriptions cannot possibly apply to all of these people of the same birthday , for they all have completely different lives.

Hi Barbara- 10:22/March 8/1967/London - Jupiter - Cancer 24/25 degrees in 2nd House/Sun - Pisces 17/18 degrees in the 10th House (Placidus System). PS: Isn't the 5th House important too? - I thought it ruled business and speculation also - I have Mars, Uranus and Pluto in the 5th. Grand Trine between Jupiter (2nd), Neptune (6th) and Sun (10th). Another Grand Trine between Jupiter (2nd), Neptune (6th) and Chiron (11th). I Have other good aspects but keep making & losing money - How come? Gary X

Thank you, Barbara, that certainly sounds promising for us fishes. But there's one thing I've never been quite clear about - when you talk about 1st house, 2nd house, etc., how do I calculate that? Because although I'm a Pisces, so Pisces could be said to be my first house, after doing my chart at astro.com, apparently Capricorn is my first house, and Pisces my third. So, which is my first house? Or can I look at both as my first houses, and make varying interpretations? It's a bit confusing!

@hellsec If you have Capricorn in your 1st house then check out the forecast for Capricorn - this may resonate even more than Pisces does!

Thanks for your reply. I guess my main question is its importance in forecasts. Do ascendant forecasts have more bearing on the future or sun sign forecasts? Sometimes I think the ascendant forecasts are more accurate. I hope this makes sense.

@kierbaudy It all depends on your natal chart - some people have a very strong ascendant, others have a strong sun sign. Just check out both and see which resonates most for you.

Thanks for your annual forecast. Can you explain how the ascendant forecast is different from your sun sign forecast? As a kid, I only looked into my sun sign, but a lot of astrologers mention that the ascendant is also important in forecasts. Thanks!

@kierbaudy The ascendant is based upon your time of birth - and the short answer is that it shows your personality, how you present yourself to the world. It is sometimes called the "door to the chart" as the ascendant flavours all the other planets. The Sun sign is your will, your inner strength, and where you shine. Sometimes the two will overlap. It's a huge subject, but I hope this helps!
